One of the funniest claims made by JW's is that they offer free bible studies. I have taken countless bible studies and I have lead a fair amount myself. Never once was money involved.
Sure if you want an academic level study you will have to pay for it(I am sure though I will not be getting a scholarly level study with local JW). Also I have payed for materials to be used in a study. However I have never payed for the study itself. As a matter of fact I think the vast majority of spirit minded people that I know would consider it a sacrilege to pay for a bible study.
Do they really think we are so small minded that we will see "free" and then just demand to have it because it is free? Have you ever actually payed for a study?
