has any of u tried driving from anaheim to vegas? was it a good experience? or you suggest flying?

I've driven it many times. It's not a drive of much interest and if you are just going to hit casinos then I'd take the jet. You certainly don't need a car in vegas. Still I enjoy driving and if I still lived in Orange county I'd drive.

It's about a 5 1/2 hour drive and the only thing worthwhile to see along the way is the Calico Ghost town. Once you get out of San Bernardino county, you're in the desert the whole trip. It's been a number of years since I've been there, but I believe the Calico Ghost town is near Barstow. There are signs on the I-15 highway that identify it, though.
On the otherhand, you can fly there in an hour and it's cheap to do, too!
