RichieRich, are you able to "trade in" Target gift cards for cash since you are an employee? And if the answer to that question is yes, would we be able to purchase gift cards at our local Target but have them available to you at your Target? Kind of like paying for merchandise at one location but picking up at another.
If that's possible it could be explained as graduation presents from out of town friends if anyone asks any questions.

I don't think that is possible, not even for an employee. Too much temptation for slippage of money.

Can you set yourself up a Paypal account? Then you can accept money from people all over the world who may want to help you out? They will send you a Debit/Credit Card that you can get the funds from any ATM or use like a regular credit card.
