    Black "tarry substance"...like maybe...TAR?

Maybe a new tar pit like La Brea? http://www.ucmp.berkeley.edu/quaternary/labrea.html

Hmmmm, this is strange. This is the first I've heard about it. Sounds a bit like someone is playing a "prank". If not. I have no clue. Maybe someone on here that lives near there would know.

Hmmm, interesting article WG...I'm gonna have to do some history look-up today. I'm really curious now. (like I don't have enough to study up on)

I read about this a few day's ago and tried finding a picture but came up empty handed. Anyone know if there is one to be found?

There is a video on the right of this screen:

Seems a crude oil company was blasting hot water into old crude digs to clean them out. The high pressure of the water blast was actually leaking out of the digs into the neighboring apartment building.

I thought for a second we had some kind of bad sci-fi movie on our hands. LOL!
