Supposedly, the "Grandfather" of the WBTS/JWs -- GEORGE STORRS --, and the Mormon Prophet -- BRIGHAM YOUNG -- were distantly related - possibly third or fourth COUSINS.
I have not checked out this allegation.
Maybe those more adept at genealogical research (and spelling it) might want to pursue whether STORRS and YOUNG may have crossed paths at some point. Both also were Methodists in the early 1820s.
Finally, a weak JW-Mormon connection (possibly).

Given some early WBTS researchers' interest in George Storrs' contribution to WBTS history, I thought that this little tidbit would have raised more interest.
Now, I can't even recall where this was found. Oh well ...
