so i get to work on saturday (i wait at a banquet center on weekends) and my boss tells me to keep the jokes and fun to a minimum that day....i asked why, and he says because Jehovahs Witnesses are getting married.... OH DAMN, and i know em all!!!!

WOW, it really sucked to be honest with you!! the people are all like i know your father and he gives such good talks... hows your congregation and bla bla bla... OMG, rough night, so i went and got drunk, at work that is... i spilled drinks on two of em, and i swore at em and called em names, and still they tipped me... ALOT OF MONEY!! I was surprised, i thought they would save it for the contribution box... then i found out that none of the other waiters got ANYTHING, and then it hit me, they only tipped me cuz they were worried i would tell my parents they were cheap!!

ALL THESE PEOPLE TALKED ABOUT IS EACH OTHER!! ITS RIDICULOUS!!! FUCKIN GOSSIP WHORES!!! Anyone else have some bad experiences with J-Dub encounters???

Poor infamous, that sounds like a horrible evening.

I haven't had any spectacular dub encounters since leaving. I hope I don't have one like that. LOL

i've been lucky enough not to have to work for them in a situation like that... it's hard enough socialising with family when you're the black sheep...

I HOPE YOU TRIED TO DO CHEERS WITH ALL OF THEM!!!

One time a JW buddy of mine and myself went to his cousin's wedding. We knew it would be a total drag so we decided to get smashed. We started pounding vodka on the way there and by the time we got there we had pretty much accomplised our goal. At that time I had not been to a meeting in a while so it was real interesting trying to have legitimate conversations with everyone about where I had been. I have to say that I had a blast socializing with elders that were more than likely suspicious of me while being inebriated.

It sounds like one of those marriages where the bride is already knocked up and nobody knows about it . I couldn't imagine a wedding where I ignored my new wife like that .

Or a marriage of "convenience" a la Tom and Nicole

Did the other waiters notice any subtle over-eagerness on the part of some witnesses to be friendly and welcoming?
