Well, I guess it's that time of year again... the C.O. just called me. Not my husband, the "head of the household," but me. Here's last year:

It was a "pleasant" conversation, but I didn't really duck his questions. I told him that I am well aware that if I say what I think, it will have consequences, so I prefer not to discuss it. He tried to establish common ground by identifying with my young baptism... I told him I thought it was a shame that children get baptized before they are adult enough to make a clear-headed decision. He asked if I had doubts. I told him that initially I had a questions that was not a doubt... just a question, and I was treated very badly for having a question. He said that was "unfortunate." I said I was glad it happened because it forced me to look for my own answer, which I was able to find elsewhere.
He said his door was always open if I ever wanted to discuss my doubts. I told him I didn't have any doubts to discuss. I also told him that I had every confidence in his concern and sincerity. (Notice, not that he was correct.) He said that he hoped if he had lunch with my parents when he visited, he hoped that I would come over because "what harm would it do to break bread together..." I carefully refrained from mentioning what happened to Ray Franz when he "broke bread" with his exjw friend. LOL!
On other fronts... I found out from a fellow xjw who gets more info than I, that my brother is no longer an elder. Oh how the mighty have fallen. Ha! Maybe I'll call him up and go "fishing..."
C.O. called me too! Happy New Year!

Is this Bob Malowski (sp?) again?
Don't mean to freak you out... I remember from reading it last year. Dang... I think I need to get a life!
Is his wife Susan still tagging along?

Just a thought about kids getting baptized. I got baptized at 14. Funny looking back now I realize I had no clue what I was doing. Did it to please my mom I think. Anyway isn't it funny how the WTS always says to look to Christ as a model to follow. How old was he when he got baptized? And if any kid at 12 years old was ready for to get baptized it was Jesus. After all how many of us at 12 could stay in a synagoge and preach to the Rabbi's. Don't see anywhere in the bible children getting baptized. Just a thought. Peace.

My mom is still in love with him... Of course, even I paid more attention than when they sent those old bald men out!

My mom too. She listens to his talks on cassette, over and over. She was SO THRILLED when he was assigned their circuit. He will be here until mid-2007, so I can expect at least one more phone call... BWAHAHahaha!
