Dr. Phil is an excellent program...great educational tool...yes many molesters abuse both boys and girls because it's the asexual, compliant element of a child that attracts them. My molester abused both, more boys than girls but preferred girls. Go figure!
The other interesting point in the show...My mother and I were watching it and mother said, what a evil, creep that molester is...I said, you know what, at the very least he admitted to Dr. Phil HE IS TOTALLY REPONSIBLE FOR THE ABUSE, THAT HE MANIPULATED EVERYONE TO GET WHAT HE WANTED.
The truth is few molesters admit to the acts let alone to the behaviour that goes along with it. The Children's Aid Society worker I know who handled my father a few years ago about another abusive situation, told me, my father wouldn't admit to anything, deflected the conversation to what he wanted to talk about it, (How he was wronged); wouldn't acknowledge on any level any of his earlier victims were victims of a crime or had ANYTHING To recover from. He was totally narcissitic. Hey no surprise to me...I lived with him!

I can't tell you how many people have been fooled by my "born-again" father..people who've told me off for the work I do on educating the public...I'm a whinny little brat to many of them...of course, my book, Father's Touch, seems to have a created a global shift...Now scores of people are expressing sympathy to my mother, siblings and I.
Strange that I had to write a book to clue people into the machinations of "the monster". Many people here warned me I shouldn't be expecting any apologies from people [including Witnesses] who mis-treated my family because they "knew better". So far they are right...of those we personally know, only people who didn't treat us badly in the first place have expressed support. The amount of strangers expressing support in unbelievable!!!
Things that make you go hmmmm.
