Memorial day we received a call from and elder in the local congregation. His mother is a partaker, he mentions he could not get over with the invitation so was calling

to invite us. "I'm sorry I could not stop by but we have a situation" his mother has been ill for some time after surgery, infection etc and has been in an induced

coma. Well to their amazement she comes out of the comma just in time to partake they took the emblems to the hospital. I really could

not believe my ears when hubby got off the phone. I just said "Oh for crying out loud". They viewed it as a miracle waking up to partake.

Ha! I thought you were starting a thread about coffee!
BTW, if the wine was anything like my cong. the bacteria in it would have killed her.

Of course, any event that cannot be rationally explained MUST be a miracle from God!

It sounds like they are getting a head start in the Second Dark Ages. Explaining anything that they do not have accepted scientific explanations (and often throwing out valid explanations) by claiming angels and demons is just as much superstition as the ones they laugh at (the black cat and the ladders, etc.) The real miracle is that they haven't yet completely started the Second Dark Ages worldwide.

My evil little apostate thoughts always wondered about her partaking in the first place, she was extremely pious she even sat down with this guy my age

that started to partake in the 90's to talk & quiz him to see if he was really anointed. I think that's when I started lots of what ifs......

Too true! It will show up in one of those final Sunday afternoon talks at the next convention... the one where everyone is tired, and ready to leave, but the speaker just keeps droning on and on with bullshit anecdotal experiences.

Yes I'm sure this little "experience" will be relayed at assemblies for years to come! What a miracle...

Without sounding callous or inconsiderate, should the woman have passed away, the congregation would have hailed it as proof that the "generation" is passing away and just how close 'the end of the system' really is....

For the record I'm very happy that she is recovering and hope that she continues to get well...

Yet it just goes to show you how JW's unconsciously 'spin' their own propaganda...

    *sigh*
