    Some of the Watchtower Society activity as a NGO:

    Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania, USA
    Representation in Georgia

    The organization started its operations in Georgia in the beginning of 1999. Its activities will be continued in the following fields:

    1. On a monthly basis importing Bibles and Bible based publications which will be distributed free of charge. These publications discuss various problems and vices in today's society and highlight Bible principles which show how to successfully deal with such problems and avoid these same vices.

    2. Dry Food Distribution. The objective of this project is to supply refugees from Abkhazia with needed food stuffs. The project will be completely funded and organized by the Representation of the Watch Tower Bible and Tract Society of Pennsylvania in Georgia and will be conducted Georgia wide. Our target goal is to supply a 20 kilogram food parcel to around 1,500 refugees two times during the year. Each food parcel will consist of the following: Rice (3 kg); Vermicelli (3 kg);
    Sugar (3kg); Buckwheat (3 kg); Stringbeans (3 kg); 3 cans of fish preserves (300g); 3 cans of canned meat (1kg); 3 cans of condensed milk (1,2kg) ; 3 packages of tea; 3 liters of cooking oil (2,7kg).

    3. Non-Food Assistance in the form of at least one seven ton shipment of clothing and possibly blankets. These will be donated most probably by The Christian association of Jehovah's Witnesses in Italy. The Representation of the Watchtower Society of Pennsylvania in Georgia will organize, implement and cover all costs connected with
    the distribution of this shipment which will be done throughout Georgia to refugees, the disabled, the aged, and families with many children. Each individual will receive approximately 2 kilograms of clothing.
