A Unique Web Site: JWlove.org

Well, all parodying of the January 2014 Awake aside: No, not so unique. Unlike the claims of JW.org, it is not the one true website that will solve all your problems. In fact, JWlove.org will not be for everyone and I admit that there are likely other places where the same information is presented in a better, more comprehensive manner. So far, the website is in its infancy and is a work in progress.

The link can be found here: www.JWlove.org

This is mainly for Jehovah’s Witnesses who are just awakening and reexamining their beliefs from a Scriptural viewpoint. Or perhaps there are former Jehovah’s Witnesses who have left, but have never carried out such an examination and need to clear out the theological cobwebs as it were. Though this is from the perspective of Christianity, it is not fundamentalist or dogmatic. Nor will the website be about leading anyone to joining a certain church, denomination or religious leader. There will be no donation button.

Why JWlove? While some might believe it is a dating site, mainly it is to highlight what many of us feel. We love the individuals within the Jehovah’s Witness religion. We have friends and family still within. Part of loving someone is being truthful with them, but the sad fact is few will speak to us at all. Therefore, the aim is to “speak truth in love”. Perhaps someone will be ready to listen.

My hope is that since 2014 is 100 years since 1914, and 2015 will be 40 years since 1975, that some Jehovah’s Witnesses will be more open to such a reexamination, especially after these years pass by in the rearview mirror. Hopefully, JWlove may be an important first step in their awakening.

I agree that 2014-15 are going to be interesting years for the JW's.

Then 2016-17 brings the Presidential Election, which will also be interesting to see who wins and what agenda they're going to have.

We live in interesting times, for better or worse.

    Choose wisely.

Just had a look at the wbsite. It is really good. It is nice to have clear and concise videos about JWs main doctrines all together in one place. I would say the presenters voice is quite irratating, but otherwise the material is excellent and well put together.

I would say the presenters voice is quite irratating,

Bit harsh. I found it very gentle, calm and clear.

I'm not a fan of the voice either... I tried to fire the narrator, but nobody would take his job.

Great job Londo! If you haven't already thought of this or done this then let me suggest something for you.

join Twitter as JWLove.org and start posting one message a day, or posting when you get new articles up. MANY JWs use twitter. I daily do a search for #jwonly and #jw and #jehovahswitness hashtags. Then I favorite the tweet the person posted. I do this so they will go to my profile to see who I am and why I "liked" or favorited their tweet. My profile has info on why I left JWs on it. I hope they see the info and then can't forget it.

In your case you could search for #jwonly and then favorite a tweet they made. With a name like JWLove.org they would be guaranteed to check your profile where you can link to your new website? Does this make sense? If you are new to twitter then private msg me and we can do a phone call where I can talk you through stuff. For sites like yours twitter is a huge and powerful way to get the message out. Lots of JWs search everyday for the hashtag #jwonly to see what their brothers and sisters are posting. It is your way to get them to see your tweets.

Thank you. I will have to try that.

I just joined Twitter this week to follow JWStruggle and JWSurvey, but now I will need to change my profile name!
