PROOF: JWs are NOT "God's Organization!" - (When Apostates Get Reinstated)

Our good friend, RayPublisher, just posted this thread:

    Reinstatement Hearing Secretly Recorded ...

Since I personally know the young woman involved, I was very interested.

The more I thought about this, the more I realized the profound implications that this and the multitude of similar situations have for the WTBTS and JWs.

If an apostate can be reinstated--and we know that many of us have--then that means either one of two things:

    1. There is no "Holy Spirit" overseeing this so-called "Judicial Hearing" process, or,
    2. Holy Spirit is ok with allowing apostates "back-in" so they can freely associate with their relatives and friends.

Either way, it absolutely proves: THIS IS NOT GOD'S ORGANIZATION!

How ya' gonna' refute that, JW apologists?

Not an apologist but the JWs I know would say its a test. That the scriptures foretell that there would be wolves in sheeps clothing.

I don't agree, but that's what I'd expect to hear.

So you're going with #2. Excellent choice: The Holy Spirit doesn't mind that this young woman could fool three elders just so she could associate with her JW relatives.

Yeah, I go with 1 actually. lol

its the JWs who would probably go with 2. And why would the HS allow this? It's a test. The standard answer when logic fails.

    Exactly!

If it's GOOD, then, "God did it!" If it's BAD, then, "Satan did it and God allowed it," as a test.

How can you possibly refute that?

You can't really. It's why the witnesses are very smart to stress not letting a personal problem interfere with your worship of god (or meetings, service, and the like). They are actually correct in that once you stop thinking its all a test and you can't give in, then you realize it's all just BS.

The "test of faith" works exceedingly well to keep people in line and ignore the obvious flaws.

Its also another reason why JWs can't see the problems with child abuse, or elders not acting with Holy Spirit. You can't show them this stuff. They have to reach a point they can see it on their own.

But, back to topic, I read the transcript. It was strange how two of them let themselves be steered and thwarted by elder 1.

Peer pressure and the desire to appear "spiritual" are very important factors.

I've been on 40 or 50 "judicial committees." Trust me, the elders are all very concerned about thinking what they think their fellow elders think they should think.

    Confusing? Yes it is.

The dominant personality, if there is one (and there usually is), makes the decision. Not any alleged "Holy Spirit."

Like many other things, my dub family would say, " God allows a tolerance of human error..some people fool Committees. "

Of course that means that they accept that H/Spirit does NOT direct the decisions , but they have seen too many crazy decisions to believe that any more anyway...We all stopped believing in the Spirit Appointment of elders a very long time ago !

It is the old conundrum, when it goes right it is God's direction , when it goes wrong it is "They are only human and prone to error "

Doublethink means, according to George Orwell (1984)

"... the power of holding two contradictory beliefs in one's mind simultaneously, and accepting both of them. ... To tell deliberate lies while genuinely believing in them, to forget any fact that has become inconvenient, and then, when it becomes necessary again, to draw it back from oblivion for just so long as it is needed"

My point exactly. And if " H/Spirit does NOT direct the decisions," then they are not any different than all the other religions also falsely claiming to be "spirit directed."

Totally agree + look how many are elders/servants and are full blown apostates....when I got appointed as an MS, I hadn't prayed in weeks...
