Do You Feel That You Are the Only People Who Will Be Saved?

    00:0000:00

No. Many millions who lived in centuries past and who weren't Jehovah's Witnesses will have an opportunity for salvation. The Bible explains that in God's promised new world, " there is going to be a resurrection of both the righteous and the unrighteous. " (Acts 24:15) Additionally, many now living may yet begin to serve God, and they too will gain salvation. In any case, it's not our job to judge who will or won't be saved. That assignment rests squarely in Jesus' hands.-John 5:22,27.

    Ezekiel 24: 18-24

"18 And I proceeded to speak to the people in the morning, and my wife gradually died in the evening. So I did in the morning just as I had been commanded. 19 And the people kept saying to me: "Will you not tell us what these things have to do with us, that you are doing?" 20 Then I said to them: "The very word of Jehovah has occurred to me, saying, 21 'Say to the house of Israel: "This is what the Sovereign Lord Jehovah has said, 'Here I am profaning my sanctuary, the pride of YOUR strength, the thing desirable to YOUR eyes and the object of YOUR soul's compassion, and YOUR sons and YOUR daughters whom YOU people have left behind-by the sword they will fall. 22 And YOU will have to do just as I have done. Mustaches YOU will not cover over, and the bread of men YOU will not eat. 23 And YOUR headdress will be on YOUR heads, and YOUR sandals be upon YOUR feet. YOU will not beat yourselves nor will YOU weep, and YOU will have to rot away in YOUR errors, and YOU will actually groan over one another. 24 And Ezekiel has become for YOU a portent. In accord with all that he has done, YOU will do. When it comes, YOU will also have to know that I am the Sovereign Lord Jehovah."

    CO's comments:

" What about today? Will we mourn when this system ends? This is not just about things, what about people we love? ANYONE NOT IN THE ARK WILL DIE! WHOEVER WE KNOW THAT IS NOT IN THE ARK WILL DIE! WE WILL NOT MOURN!

" Love is an action word. People liked the sound of Ezekiel's message, but they did not listen. They came to know that a prophet was in their midst. What about today? What about people who are always " around the truth " but not active? We may say, " They are not progressing, they struggle with " the truth ", but they love Jehovah!" NO! THEY DO NOT! THEY DO NOT LOVE JEHOVAH! IF THEY DO, WHERE ARE THEY?!

    Peace,

Then he is an inhuman monster.

Confirmed. This guy is an inhuman monster. This is just vile watchtower(R) hate speech and mind control propaganda. Far from the fluffy image the JWs give when they go D2D.

    It's a cult!

Did he happen to be specific about what the ark was and who only can get on it (specific like only baptized jws?)

Sounds about right Datadog, suppose I'd best repent or something, either that or forget about it and have another pint. :)

No, Blondie, he was not specific. We do know what the WT traditionally teaches about the " Ark." He was very specific about using " Ark " in his ranting. If you take the WTBTS teaching of ARK=ORG, then it's pretty easy to connect the dots.

One Elder told me that this particular CO is a real douche.

*** w01 3/1 p. 21 pars. 16-17 Salvation for Those Who Choose the Light ***Regarding that dangerous time, Jehovah warns us: “Go, my people, enter into your interior rooms, and shut your doors behind you. Hide yourself for but a moment until the denunciation passes over. For, look! Jehovah is coming forth from his place to call to account the error of the inhabitant of the land against him, and the land will certainly expose her bloodshed and will no longer cover over her killed ones.” (Isaiah 26:20, 21; Zephaniah 1:14) This warning showed the Jews how to survive the fall of Babylon in 539 B.C.E. Those who heeded it would have stayed in their houses, safe from the conquering soldiers out in the streets. Today, the “interior rooms” of the prophecy likely have to do with the tens of thousands of congregations of Jehovah’s people around the world. Such congregations are a protection even now, a place where Christians find safety among their brothers, under the loving care of the elders. (Isaiah 32:1, 2; Hebrews 10:24, 25) This is especially true in view of the nearness of the end of this system of things when survival will depend on obedience.—Zephaniah 2:3.

What does the WTS say is the ark today?

"During the final period of the ancient world that perished in the Flood, Noah was a faithful “preacher of righteousness.” (2 Peter 2:5) In these last days of the present system of things, Jehovah’s people are making known God’s righteous standards and are declaring good news about the possibility of surviving into the new world. (2 Peter 3:9-13) Just as Noah and his God-fearing family were preserved in the ark, survival of individuals today depends on their faith and their loyal association with the earthly part of Jehovah’s universal organization." Watchtower 2006 May 15 p.22 "Are You Prepared for Survival?" Paragraph 8

I always had problems with the WTBTS's application of the "ark" as representing the organization. As an analogy it doesn't work.

In account of Noah, eight people were allegedly saved by being together (with a bunch of animals) in one physical location. How could being "associated" with what is asserted to be the visible part of "Jehovah's universal organization" possibly be analagous to the Bible account of Noah?

    It just doesn't hold water!

This is classic mind control, pushing people to have no natural affection for their loved ones simply because they are not in the cult. For people to believe this bs and harden their hearts in this way is pushing them further along on the pathway to being brainwashed cult members, who will do whatever their leaders tell them, no matter how immoral. It seems to me this is more extreme than what I remember. I have been out 13 years, so has it gotten that much worse, or have I forgotten how bad it was?
