The Bible and Masturbation...4000 years of inspired input and no scriptures about it ?

My philosophy when I was a teenager :"Those who admit to it are stupid ,those who deny it are liars" that was my response to peers who posed such a subject when I was a teen .Now, being a mature aged person I think this subject could do with a bit more enlightened content.

I am a male so I can`t speak for the females ,who, I hope will give their input on this topic for discussion. And I mean it as a serious discussion.

Males experience erections from the time they are babies and the natural thing to do is to hold it , and before you know it fondling it gives you releif.

Society doesnt help by making you feel guilty and like shit as a dirty person. Why in the world do babes ,young children ,young boys get erections before they even know what it`s function is for. If a God designed sex for procreation then surely this wouldnt become an issue until they reached the age of puberty ,not when a male is still a baby.

And getting back to my op nowhere in the bible does it talk about masturbation which surely has been going on since Adam was a boy/man.

I`m sorry, but to deny that you would have to be a complete idiot ,imbecile ,fool ,or just brain dead.

So for 4000 years of inspired scriptures from GOD ,nothing is said about a condition that effects every man from his birth to his death .

makes you wonder doesn`t it ?

Are you calling Adam a wanker ? LOL

The Bible doesn't mention it, the WT writes thousands of words about it based on nothing but their own ill-informed opinion, whilst claiming the religion and its rules are "Bible based".

One Elder told me that the WT was careful not to make it a heavy sin because if they did they would have to dismiss almost 100% of the Bethel staff.

    Bunch of wankers.

It's funny you should bring up this topic - I was reminding myself of the crazy stuff in the "Youth" book last night.

You say they don't make it a heavy sin, but it gets pretty heavy in this chapter.

I wrote some comments, and decided the whole thing was a giant guilt trip.

    Sorry for the long post...

What in God's name did I just read!? Is this from the Young People Ask book or an earlier piss of litteratrash? Those celebrated Warchtower Scholars are a wacky bunch.

Edit: Just noticed you said 'Youth' book, just before my time I think.

i'll tell you why very simple: it is only in the last 100 years or so that women have been able to get out of the 2nd class citizen role. if you were a man and you were horny, simply grab the woman and take her (just make sure you also marry her if you want to avoid that fornicator thing).

also, if you said to your wife, get on the bed and spread your legs right now, she was going to do it regardless of the circumstances (because she was in 'subjection' to you)....probably not going to have much of a marriage if you did that by today's standards/.

The YPA book still borrowed a lot from the earlier "Youth" book, and in some ways could be considered a watered down post-Knorr version.

    From 1976:

Always good to see the watchtower claiming to be bible based and yet it barely quotes a single scripture in full. How do they manage to extract pages and pages of text from just 3-4 words ?

I remember when these books were released.

As a young man I felt my life wasn't worth living after reading this information.

I was a suicidal young man because I masturbated.

God I hate them, I hate them, I HATE them.

Totally stressed out over something my school friends considered quite normal.

Yes, but when you are Gods mouthpiece and his sole source of communication on earth you kinda have poetic license to read his mind and put it in print.
