One long hot and heavy Striptease by Jehovah

  If we are to believe Scripture, Jehovah has been performing one long striptease over the centuries. His plan has hidden parts we all long to see.

  Little by little he has dropped a shoulder strap and flashed a peek with the cat and mouse of prophecy.

  He has done the old bump and grind with revealing his Messiah and then snatching him away again.

  He teases us with Revelation and coaxes us with heaven.

  And the 2nd Coming? Now you see it and now you don't! Oh for a good long glimpse!

  Who really is the Faithful and Discreet slave? PEEKABOO!!

  And does Jehovah just do what needs to be done? NO. Heaven's no! He has to tittilate us with SIGNS of the last days! Stay on the watch you might miss it when Jesus does the Full Monty!

  Isn't this all a bit crude; this teasing and tittilating?

  

  If there is a job to be done; do it! Don't just talk about it and hint at it and plant clues and whisper sacred secrets in the ears of crackpots!

  Does anybody else see the plot of God's bestseller as just one long striptease? Is all of Christendom just waiting for the Full Monty? Maybe Jehovah is just showing us his ass!

  He has been like an inimitable Artist patiently restoring an original masterpiece that was hideously defaced.

  Bit by bit, piece by piece, He thoroughly reconstructs the image, revealing 1/4, 1/2, 3/4 of the original a step at a time until the job is finished.

  The point, for those too dense to contemplate it, is that Jehovah just can't seem to simply DO something without dilatory folderol, hints, red herrnings, cryptic messages, weird pronouncements, augurs, signs and wonders, telltale hints and prophetic utterances.

  Then, faster than the eye can see, (hint: it is invisible) we are stuck with interpretation experts confidently telling us what it all means.

  Why all the baloney?

  Just DO it, fer heck's sake! Stop jabbering and signifying about it Mr. Do-Nothing in the Sky!!

  Jesus took his throne in 1914, for example, and here it is almost 2011!!

  What the hell has Mr. Messiah been doing diddling with the Watchtower morons for 97 years while the world spins merrily along?

  The Muslims are waiting on their Hidden Imam to reappear (yes, they plagarized the second coming of Christ...) and bide their time blowing people up to show how enthusiastic for change they are.

  The God business is a thoroughly disreputable waste of people's time and energy and yet so many are sooooo eager to stick up for it and wax enthusiastically over the piddly diddly crap----it apalls me.

  Yes, I do have enough fiber in my diet, thank you!
