how many times have you asked a jw who has attended a public talk how the talk was, only to be told it was so great!
yet they cannot remember the title nor any one single point except that the brother was "funny" or was good with illustratiions or some other vauge point?

things such as: jobs test and noah's ark not being enough for gods sovereignty, why not just let adam and eve die without having children, tower of babel after the flood, jws can die at armageddon yet even satan gets more time.
the ultimate stopper for me is when people say its about jehovahs kingdom and sovereignty and we preach to save the wicked.
Don't really think that there is a scripture that says all that but that's the whole reason for the jw religion because of the Jehovahs Kingdom, sovereignty, and preaching to save beliefs is what they think. It is their perspective even though their source hardly commands or even says such things
i overheard a comment recently at the meeting.
it was said how beautiful jehovah had made the earth and how awfull would the earth be if we didn't have the green plants and vegetation?.
but surely as an indigenous species of this planet we would always find our home beautiful?
agree. We would have no choice other than to accept our home planet even if it did look like some other planets. Most humans are open minded enough to obtain the look of dirt, dusk, and other materials that we view unsightly in the present. But seeing how you said that if the earth was always with those specific features, then again, we'd all think that they are beautiful and all humans would not be able to think of anything else better for our Earth. just like we do now.

interesting admission in today's wt: adam may have understood "day" (as in "in the day you eat from it, you will positively die") to be a literal 24-hour period.
i don't think the wt has ever said this before; the usual emphasis is that jah meant it as a figurative day, a day from his standpoint which is 1,000 years (and the article does state that, later).. however, if adam understood god's warning to be carried out in a 24 hour period, and god did nothing to alleviate that, then who did the lying?
actually, regardless of adam's understanding, the question still stands but moving toward an admission of the use of day in that context to be 24-hours only makes the question even more valid.

i Like that term because of the fact that they have done this so many times. But the sad part is that no matter what they their opinion on what the bible is about, their followers will always have an unconscious one-hundred percent belief in them.

navyton agree about that. One of the many reasons why denominations have to oppose other religions is because they want to fully control their sheep. It's sick.
As for the text, agree wholeheartedly. Specifically jehovahs Witnesses think any person not in their religion is 'inferior' of some sort. If you asked them about that feeling they wouldn't say they feel like that but that they feel they can 'help' a person out just by telling them the message. When really they only associate with people in their religion and usually don't give non-witnesses a chance.

now i know that this would of course be illegal, wrong, and deceitful but has anyone here ever thought of creating a fake jw.org website that looks 100% authentic to the actual site but features ttatt?
like mentioned before, this would definitely be fraud or some other badness but just think of how many people could be woken up if this were real.
it might not open up everyone's eyes but for the witnesses that stumble onto jw.org for hours watching videos, this false jw site could really work.
You guys are truely right. Don't know what I was thinking or even imagining. Guess the desperate wounds of trying to wake your friends up are oozing.
