by out4good3 ini think everyone here can agree that walking down the street, even in the middle of the street, is not cause for having a clip emptied in your ass......... i can understand how the black community would be outraged by the injustice of seeing another black man dead in the street at the hands of the police under mysterious circumstances....... i hope that i'm not succumbing to the attempts to assinate the already well impuned character of the dead man...... however.
i can't help but think that this could all have been avoided by exercising the proper discretion with fore-knowledge of the disadvantages people of color have when they are dealing with law enforcement in the united states.
it is not as if this disadvantage has only since recently came to light.

Good time to bump this thread since it is now becoming more clear that Michael Brown was a big thug that right after strong arm stealing from a store and menacing the store clerk, Brown went after a police officer's gun who mearly stopped to tell him to get out of the middle of the road, then the the officer shot Brown in the struggle. Now Brown's big ass is dead.....not because "he was black", but because HE WAS A STUPID THUG IDIOT whose bullying ways brought his death on himself.
The Ferguson black community rallied around this false, made up lie of a story about "Hands up, Don't shoot" as they have been rioting for 2 months now. If the black leaders like Jackson & Sharpton had any integrity at all they would be calling these protests to an end right now. The white liberals, O'bama and Holder are all to blame as well, because they are always looking to fan the flames and spread this kind of racial bullshit.

GB Doesnt Believe in 1914 Anymore My reasoning
by thedepressedsoul ini have heard a lot of talk over the last year or so if the gb will eventually ditch 1914 and some have even made the claim that most, if not all of the gb do not believe in 1914. ive given this some thought and in the past i wasnt sure.
this annual meeting puts 100%, without a doubt in my mind that the gb do not believe in 1914. id even go as far to say that they talked about that date and have a game plan in mind.. here is why i feel this way:.
there were a lot of changes with the parables at this annual meeting.

The Watchtower won't abandon 1914 altogether. They will spin it to a lesser important event, maybe the year "Satan was cast down" as was mentioned. They could come up with a "woe to the earth", then WWI began spin.
I too have thought they will eventually accept 587CE as Jerusalem's fall then extend the end of the Gentile Times out to 1934. They can spin the rise of Hitler and WWII as the start of the "last days".
These type changes actually would give them more distance between Russell and eventually Rutherford. These changes also could extend the end 120 years out to 2054 (Noah's preaching), and they could go back to a more sellable "this generation" belief.
This G.B. could them come up with a "new 1919" year that gives them all the authority that they need.

" i wouldn't suggest that you watch it as it's pretty sickly, as usual they are praying on emotions in order to encourage people to attend their halls.. the video is presented by a female but does show her face.
it just seems weird that they have allowed a woman to star in this very prominant role.

I think I've finally been disfellowshipped
by Godsendconspirator init wasn't my preferred method of leaving but at least i'm as far as i can be from this cult.
over 2 years ago i've tried to fade out but i guess i did it too drastically.
i live in nyc so the entire territory is walkable and everybody in the congregation live pretty close by.

To some extent it is probably true. However, the Jehovah's Witnesses are such a "born-in" cult that you more than likely have to make the decision to leave your family if you decide to leave. The chances of entire families leaving are very slim.

because many within the organization are not true believers and are in various stages of exit this calculation is some what complicated.

I would bet there is 2 or maybe even 3 times more X-JW's than JW's. If I thought about it hard enough, I could name way more that left the cult than probably still go.
