someone told me today that at the annual meeting something was said along the lines that, we do not need to be like the boreans and search that everything is true because we know we have the truth.

we have had a letter read the last 2 meetings to all congs attenidng the detroit dc's... seems people are not going, or not booking their hotels.

and the society is pissed!

they are imploring every one to not wait for a new list with new hotels, it is not happening.

Wow.....that is pathetic. The 2 baptized were probably born-ins too. The Watchtower is definitely developing cracks in the foundation.

I'm told that the JWs with the trolleys are not supposed to stand next to them. People feel freer to approach the publications if they aren't going to get a sales pitch in their face. So it's not lack of enthusiasm that's behind the JWs standing at a distance from the literature.

Sounds like the same strategy people use when setting animal traps. Stand back and watch the poor sucker get trapped.

Any statement by the Watchtower leadership about "obeying the slave even if it doesn't make sense" always made me raise an eyebrow.

New Policy on Inactive Ones?

this may have been discussed, but i just recently was told that a km this past year stated that inactive ones are now to be treated as if they are df'd.

is this so?

Although not "official" Watchtower policy to treat Inactive ones as DF'd, the very self-righteous have always reserved this stance for anytime they felt like it.

With anti-JW web sites regularly talking about fading and how to fade, I'll really surprised the Watchtower hasn't come up with something by now to make it much harder on anyone contemplating this course to leave the Watchtower.

Agreed. The couple should critique their approach. Don't call them brothers. Don't tell them you love them. Don't mention anything about the Freemasons. Just keep boldly engaging the JW's in public. The JW's can either learn to defend their beliefs against TTATT, say nothing and just accept their being challanged, or STFU and go home to do something constructive with their time.

Let me comment on the literature carts. Those guys in the video were not even standing next to their cart. No one would have even known it belonged to them. Those carts are an absolute discrace to what past witnesses went through in their public witnessing. The whole JW urgent life saving preaching work is a joke. Nothing but people setting up carts or riding around wasting time, then sending in a time report to the Watchtower on how much time they wasted.

When you see the videos on what this couple went through in the JW religion, and how they were treated by the JW's you will understand more why they did this.
