  I'm So Happy!! A NEVER Give Up Hope Story

  like most everyone here, i had a painful yet liberating exiting of the org.. one of the most difficult parts was saying goodbye to a dear friend.

  he couldn't believe that i no longer was a "believer", and during our last conversation 3 years ago, he ran out in tears extremely upset.

  i told him that i would always love him and thought there was a good chance that that was the last time i'd ever talk to him.. however last week......he called me!!!!.

  When he called I couldn't believe I was actually talking to my old friend!! We had him over yesterday and it was like old times. He's got a rough road ahead of him but he's on the way out. We made plans to do some of the things we've always done together (hiking , concerts ect.) Can't wait!

  I relate this story to all of you who are hurting and missing your friends and family. You truly never know what's going to happen.

  Be patient, live your truth and don't give up hope!!!!!

  would someone seriously consider arranging for an apostafest up in scotland next year?

  i know i'm asking this early but i feel it would be good to put the feelers out now.. obviously, it would have to be a location easy to get to - so that means stornoway is out!

  even though im a londoner can i still come?

  Someone else asked me this about going to the meal in London. Why on earth does anyone think they can't come? EVERYONE is welcome at these events!

  I suggested Scotland because so many Scots and far northerners tend to miss out on the gatherings that tend to be farther south.

  (The real reason is that Claire and I want a good excuse to visit Scotland)

  My Mum's gone

  a few months ago i noticed that my mum had put her house up for sale, she doesn't live far from me and i had occasion to drive past her house.. well i've had a funny unsettled feeling all week, and i drove along the back of her house yesterday, and all the curtains were gone, she'd obviously left.

  feeling brave i drove round the front, and yes its empty, doesnt look like she's been gone long.

  i got out and went in the back garden, and looked through the windows.

  She has moved away and left her four grandchildren. And all this is dictated by the cult organisation.

  Same thing happened to us regarding my older daughter. My wife just happened to be driving past her flat when she noticed a removal van outside. There were JWs and my daughter moving furniture. Jody left without so much as a "Kiss my arse" and has gone to live around 200 miles away. However, we have our own lives to lead and, in our case, other children to consider (if they can be called children anymore as the youngest is almost 18).

  IT ISN'T YOUR FAULT! Always remember that!

  I don't believe Trevor's lame excuse for a minute. I don't believe he was even at Hillsborough that tragic day. It's now a case of 'Fool me once, shame on you. Fool me twice, shame on me!' I just can't believe anything he says now.

  Simon is right:

  stop giving him any more attention.

  There are now around 4-5 threads all talking about Trevor and he must be lapping up all the "attention". Just because he doesn't post here anymore don't think he hasn't got some way (or someone to do it for him?) of accessing the information.

  It was a good but disgusting hoax (as many hoaxes usually are). The man has drunk tea/coffee in my house and with myself and others had a meal in a restaurant just around the corner. He was a pleasant enough person but, I believe, very lonely. He appeared to me to be the sort of person who doesn't make many friends - if any - and so he conducts elaborate charades.

  Like Linda, I think it's time we buried him.

  i started this on another thread so a lot of it is in response to nathan's.. there is still free speech, even for christians.

  a lot of people would like to take free speech away from christians; that we keep our mouths shut.

  as americans, what do you think of the fairness doctrine that henry waxman wants to revive?
