  What happened to all the BOE letters? - Is Atlantis OK?

  Probably the most bizarre encounter with a witness family.

  went to a bar with a friend a few days ago.. we were sitting in the outside garden and i went back inside to get another round.

  on my way back out i passed some tables with a family of about 6 or 7 people sitting and celebrating a birthday.. i overheard the name jehovah mentioned and i stopped and asked if they were witnesses to which one of them replied 'yes'.. we got into conversation about the latest watchtowers and the governing body.

  none of them had a clue what i was talking about.. they new nothing of the 8 men brooklyn being the faithful and discreet slave, nothing about c.t russell or rutherford, nothing of how jesus came and selected them as his chosen people in 1914-19, in fact the only thing they knew about 1914 was that that was when the first world war started, nothing about malawi and mexico, never heard of candace conti or any of the sex abuse scandals, nothing about the 2 witness rule, nothing about the elders being chosen by the holy spirit, nothing about 'new light', nothing about the orgs involvement with the un, nothing about the blood fractions changes they knew almost nothing at all about the majority of their own organisations core teachings.

  i have great admiration and respect for your wisdom, courage, insight, fighting spirit and advocacy on behalf of abused ex-jws.

  to me, you are like a lady with 'the mind of steel' if you are reading this thread, this is a tribute to your oustanding work on behalf of the disfranchised.

  no birthday celebration after all

  new boyfriend is upset bc an old boyfriend when i was a teenager is on my fb friend list and wished me a happy birthday.

  was supposed to go to turkish embassy for cultural celebration.

  my first birthday in years, and total freaking meltdown.

  You deserve to be happy. If this guy wont, can't or dosen't someone will come along that will. Don't close yourself off to happiness. I did and I paid dearly. There is a silver linning in that you got to see that he is possessive and jealious. Some like that most don't. I sent you a pm

  How can I protect all the secret watchtower books and elder letters on my tablet?

  i have a ton of secret watchtower info stored on my tablet.

  is there any way with my tablet locked with a password, can someone do a factory reset on it so i lose all my pdf files?

  the boe at hubbys hall are aware i am in possession of secret crap from the watchtower.

  Thanks again everyone for all your help and suggestions. I don't want to delete the files after I have secured their safety. If for some reason they do get a hold of my tablet and remove the files I will be the first to inform them that They didn't win that I have them backed up in a secure location. I plan to put them on cloud and or dropbox plus on a couple of flash drives and mail them to my dad and a really good friend. Since my hubby has my password for this site I hope he checks my posts or the elders have a lookie lou at what I've posted, see this thread and freak out at the fact that there will be several ways they wont be able to take the files away from me.

  A surreal viewing of Captain Phllips

  i saw captain phillips last night, with a surreal twist.

  i had forgotten that there are a large number of somalian refugees in our neighbourhood.

  so i watched the movie in a full theatre, surrounded by first and second generation young somalian immigrants, who erupted in laughter at the oddest moments.

  We saw it opening day. It's an intense movie. Tom Hanks did a great job. I wouldn't be suprised if Tom recieved another Oscar for his performance.
