The temple has been rebuilt .It is spiritual and not made with human hands or by bricks or mortar. Beleivers are the temple. For he does not dwell in man made ones. We enter into a spiritual KIngdom all earthyl onesare counterfeit and an illusion ot the real one we are all supposed to enter into. The man made KIngdoms ie (churches,organizations etc) on earth are for those who are fleshly and who seek fleshly things they cna see. the messiah was talking to those who asked the question , he replied tot hem and did not lie or mislead.he told them not us that soem would still be alive when he returned.

Because Jesus said to those standing infront of him "then there will be great tribulation not seen since the worlds beginning until NOW and would NEVER be seen again". Part of the signs that those who were standing in fornt of him would see in their lifetime. So he said himself it would never be seen again after the 1st century generation experienced it att he detruction of Jerusalem and the Temple.
