James I think that reality might be closer than you think. They are already hosting dance parties in the KH. You have also got the happy song been played at the KH & bethel. Who the artists I might add would not be appropriate in sacred service of jehovah. -

Disfellowship, Disassociate, or fade. What would you do different.
by John Aquila inhindsight: .
many times because of the shock of learning ttatt, a person loses it.
you want to scream and tell the whole world that the watchtower is a big lie.

Like others have said here my biggest regret was not having done it sooner. Perhaps early to mid 20s would of been ideal. -

Nothing would please me more than to walk out the KH door while giving them the 1 finger salute. Yet I know realistically while my parents are alive this is just not an option. They have got no idea of my views and I'm sure if they did it would send them to an early grave. Just be thankful that I'm faded and keep my mouth shut for the time being.

"We can't even talk with you anymore! You react very abruptly"
by stuckinarut2 inso that was the line used by an elder the other day to me!.
he implied that i react badly when spoken to by the elders.. i corrected him and said: "no, i'm always happy to have a conversation.
but what you seem to be implying is that unless i sit and accept and take everything you say, then i am being defensive?

Stuck = I can see one of two outcomes if you don't physically remove yourself from that situation.
(1) You will have a mental breakdown and end up in psychiatric ward, after the have disfellowshiped you.
Or
(2) You are going to start having some very serious physical health problems, after they disfellowship you.
Stuck is this really worth it. Look you don't like been there, and this is obviously beginning to show. I feel it's only going to be a matter of time before you end up saying something that you can't back down from and they are going to kick you out. Hey its not a pleasant situation. I should know because I'm going through it.

Ideas how to answer a jw friend
by Daniel1555 ini faded completely (no kh visits or field service).. just recently a close friend from the kh wrote:.

it's a pity that we don't see you anymore at the kingdom hall.

Daniel = unless you want to appear before a judicial committee, my advise would be don't respond to it. Silence is the best reply to dubbies. -

Stuckinarut2 = I hope you don't mind me giving you a good bit of advise. I have been following your posts over the last couple of months. The impression I am getting of you is a person who is winding himself up, and this is been played out in the congregation. Obviously you are creating a very unpleasant situation for both yourself and for those around you. I remember you saying you are situated around the half way point between been Brisbane /GC area (you did name the area. But I won't mention it here.) I know some of the elders around there so I realize the type of people your having to deal with. Hey I totally understand the situation your in because I'm ' in the same boat. I honestly believe you have to walk out the door before they throw you out. This is what I done and it went better than expected e.g no calls from elders, and very few enquiries from cong members. Fantastic. You can't reason with these people and I believe if I had hung around with knowing what I know, I would of found myself in a similar situation to you or certainly DFed. Fading is the best option. -

Preparing for Governing Body 3.0? Making older GB step down? (New September Watchtower)
by FusionTheism inwatchtower, study edition, september 2015, "are you reaching the stature that belongs to christ?":.
paragraph 6: the mature christian shows humility in that he recognizes that jehovahs ways and standards are always better than his own.
[footnote: for example, older, experienced brothers may be asked to step aside from certain responsibilities and to lend support to younger brothers as they take on those responsibilities.].

I actually would think the opposite would happen considering they are all ready having trouble finding qualified men. I know of an example here where they had to bring a CO out of retirement because the couldn't get any body to do the job. -

Wanted to Share a Watchtower Quote with you
by FusionTheism injust thought this was interesting and wanted to see all of your thoughts and opinions on it.. watchtower, november 15, 2014, simplified study edition, pages 11-12:.
9 let us examine the words of three brothers who for many years have worked closely with members of the governing body.
one brother mentioned: while this has indeed been a unique privilege of service, the close association has from time to time revealed that, although spirit anointed, these brothers are imperfect.

The human imperfection thing, totally accept . The issue I do have is one of honesty, openness, transparency and accountability for their actions. The other issue I have is why do I have to go to a bunch of mentally diseased apostates to find out what watchtower gets up to. It saddens me to think that F.I.F.A is more prepared to take the consequences for their actions, than God's visible organisation here on earth. Wt if you read this "it a God dam soccer organisation". You should be ashamed of yourself. -

Rutherford, Knorr or Franz - Who has the most influence on doctrine & process now?
by konceptual99 inso, i was thinking - who of the above still has the most influence on current wts doctrine and dogma?.
rutherford obviously created the smokescreen around 1914/607 but overall his work has been superseded i would suggest.. knorr created the various schools and they or their offspring still live on.
wasn't it during his tenure that all the blood doctrine, types/anti types (now chucked away of course), transplants etc came along?

There is some pretty good circumstantial evidence that Freddie played a major part in forming the religion during both the Rutherford and Knorr years. I remember reading and article by Barbara Anderson that she found a letter in the Wt archives from Rutherford requesting Freddie to reply to a question from readers. This caused her to question how much of the religion could of been based on one man's ideas.
The other proof that I could point to is CoC. Ray mentions that his uncle had total authority over what he wrote, and that Knorr relied heavily on him in forming the religions doctrines. I guess the 1975 fiasco /types and anti types is testimony to this. Ray mentions that his uncle was certainly an intelligent man also.
