  i received an email from one of the elder in the local congregation.

  i am not dfed so there is not a problem there, i am just an aggressive fader.. one of the last things i said to this elder before i stopped all activities was that i do not agree with the borg taking all the assets from the congregations.. here is what the elder said in the email:.

  "i recently saw something while looking through the jw broadcasting for the month of may and i though about you.

  Best practice with dubbies is to keep your mouth shut. Speaking from personal experience, I walked out of the Hall with out saying a word after decades of service. Not even an elders visit. I guess you can call me lucky.

  What amazes me about this elder is he would have to be aware of the B part of the funding letter, and possibly even have rubber stamped the change of ownership of the KH to the society, and yet still cannot put it together.

  I honestly believe the issue now is not so much been cashed up with money, but rather long term solvency. In the greater scheme of things,for an organisation of that size a billion dollars isn't that much. For example there is a convention centre been built in one of the major cities in this country, and the building alone is nearly half a billion dollars (that dosnt include land). Ok I realize WTBTS is only paying for materials, but I'm just trying to show how quickly the money can be used.

  The Crappy piano music Replacement has begun

  im typing this while i'm sitting on the toilet in the kingdom hall to just skip a few seconds of the mumbling.

  they read a letter just now they have started to replace the kingdom melodies with the orchestral versions.

  all and all to make it look and sound better to the people outside.. id have to say though, that piano music sucks measuring up to church music.

  Those kingdom melodies used to put me to sleep. I just wish they could liven them up a bit with a bit of base. It would make a huge difference. It's like they have never got past the error of when that music was popular. I guess we'll have to wait for a GB member to die and be replaced by some techno metal loving brother. Now that would be cool.

  How many years will pass before the world recognizes we were right?

  its inevitable that at some point in time, people will look back and see that the exjw community was right about the watchtower organization and the bible..

  i have some friends who are catholic, protestant, and some who dont associate with any religion but believe jesus will come in their lifetime.

  we are such a small minority compared to christians that we are viewed as ignorant when it comes to religious matters.

  I must admit even when I was indoctrinated that I did realize that there were problems in JW land.It wasn't until I started looking on the net that I realized how big the problem is. For example by observation I knew they were losing the youth, and by the lack luster response out in the territory, that changes were needed. But on the other hand there were things I was completely unaware of e.g The constant need for refurbishments. Sex abuse issues. Simplifications of down sizing. To name just a few.

  10th Anniversary

  just popped in to say hi and let you know that my wife and i have been "out" for 10 years!!!

  wow a whole decade without going to a meeting or out door to door.. no bolts of lightening, only a couple of visits in all that time by some petrified elders and a couple of newbie locals knocking on our door in all that time!.

  Talking from personal experience and as you can also testify to. This notion of been hounded by elders just isn't true. There are so many that have so easily faded with out so much as a whisper from the elders.

  Why I haven't been on here for a while, and why am in the fight of my life right now

  my younger brother, the one who sued the wts, had his girls kidnapped parentally by their mother.

  it took several years to get them back, and they're finally back with him and safe, and recovering from all of the trauma.

  i was working on this case nonstop for a very long time.. now, unfortunately i have a custody case my very own.

  Just thinking. If the situation is that bad and there is no doubt a sex offender is living in the same house. Couldn't the police at least temporarily move in and remove the child from the house.

  JWs are a hiracachical religion just like the catholic church. With a Pope who gives orders to his cardinals.

  I've actually quite enjoyed this post as it gives me time to recap the events of the last 2 years since I walked on the religion.

  Kingdom hall bank accounts been emptied. More emphasis been placed on Money donations. Mortgages on Halls been canceled when they actually hadn't. More down sizing and cut backs.

  Kingdom halls in Chile flying the national flag to avoid having to pay a fine on national independence day.

  More centralization of doctrine and operations.

  Don't wear tight pants or coloured socks and if you not a MS by the time your in your 20s then your not a very suitable marriage mate.

  Major issues with sex abuse law suites.

  We have the jw version the catholic cross e.g jw.org.

  Cartoons, colour in and join the dots for the young kids in the mags.

  Commercial style halls. Easier to flick later.

  On a more lighter note.

  Social networking is totally ok.

  Playing wordly music by rap artists in the KH and Bethel is totally acceptable.

  Having kingdom hall parties and putting them on you tube not a problem either.
