the way things are going i believe that wt will start encouraging its members to start setting up web sites.

i can certainly see them loosening their stand on it.

the example i will give is the video showing the dancing in the kh, and jw defender which i believe is wt in hiding.

I disagree. if they don't do it by choice, then soon the situation will get to the point when they will be forced to do it.i can't see it any other way.

The way things are going I believe that Wt will start encouraging its members to start setting up web sites. I can certainly see them loosening their stand on it. The example I will give is the video showing the dancing in the KH, and JW defender which I believe is Wt in hiding. they must realise that the internet is killing them, and the quicker they react the better they will be.

i don't know whether i should laugh, or run screaming into the night.. tonights "local needs" was titled "are you following 'the slave' "?.

the theme scripture was 1 peter 2: 21. it was applied that by following jesus steps closely we would then be able to keep up with 'the slave'.

now i don't know about others, but if i were to follow one person and that meant to keep up with someone else, it would mean that the person i was following was following the other person.

It's funny I remember some years ago been told off for taking a print out of the bible, when I gave a bible reading on the TMS. Now it's almost justified.

according to uk news reports http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-politics-28203914 institutions complicit in covering over or withholding current & historical information from the correct authorities when accusations, understandings & informations have been raised will hopefully be investigated.. this is to include all public associations including the government top brass, the police, the fostering commission as well as religious organisations.. what will be needed is for brave jw victims to come forward with there experiences & make the lo (loving organisation) accountable for there gross negligence & downright dirty tricks to protect the lo from any criticism or blame.. what do you think can be done to help these victims come forward & put there necks on the block & get this scum in court.. can this site move on something like this?.

I hate to say this but it would require a major change in legislation to get the Wt to ever admit any responsibility in child abuse. Unfortunately with the laws protecting freedom of worship gives them whole range of legal outs. Sorry I can't remember the exact case of the elder who had a number of victims And The DA tried to get the GB to testify. They just threw the statute of limitations at it, and that was it " good night nurse". It annoys me immensely how the law allows them to walk away from the very problem they created, Scott free. Wankers.

i'm trying to fade away from the jw religion fully aware of ttatt .

my wife is still under mind control of this cult and teenager 14 years old attending most of the meetings an some ministry arrangements but is not interested and going just to please mum.

i actively educate my son about about other cults and their practices and he knows i don't believe that wt has anything to do with god.

Honestly I have found the best way of dealing with the dubbies is just to say nothing. You are on a very slippery slope by talking behind your wife's back, as I believe this will just totally undermine your marriage regardless of weather you think it's a load of crap or not. Your son will pick up on it soon enough with out you saying a word. Hey all the best.

I'm confused! Just what is the "new" donation arrangement and how is it like "tithing"?

i've been out so long but many of my ex-jws friends have been telling me of a "new" donation/tithing arrangement the wts is using today.

when i was a jws we had "contribution" boxes at the back of the kh and the elders would give talks about contributing to the kingdom interest.

we were not forced to give but gave as we pleased.

I think the biggest stink was the fact that they sent a 3 page letter saying one thing and yet only 1 page ended up been read out to the congregation saying another thing.

i have noticed that there have been discussions on him in years past on jwn, and i'm sure a google search will bring news articles on him.

what i can't find on discussions in jwn (and the question i have) was he was sexually abused by a witness called john olave beaver.

Yeah I know the Antonie Dixon case was hugh in NZ. But what I am wanting to find out more on is John Olave Beaver. Was he disfellowshipped? How was it handled in the congregation. Was it a case of I'm repentant so let's forget about it. I see he also abused 2 others and I'm just wondering if they were also members of the congregation. Could it perhaps be another example of a poorly managed sex abuse.

What I can't find on discussions in JWN (and the question I have) was he was sexually abused by a witness called John Olave Beaver. Dose anyone know this guy and if he is still circulating in Witness circles? To what extent was he involved with the cult at the time of offending? I'm going to give him the benefit of the doubt and say that he could of just been an interested person, but it was sensationalised in the media as been a Governing Body member. Just curious if any body actually knew Antonie Dixon as a boy growing up. Below is the link where he is named.
