  Did the Fred Franz style of writing cease after he died?

  i was completely out by 1991 and 1989 would have been the last time i had to attend regularly.

  that over the top franz writing style was still there in the 1980's although i've heard he wasn't actually doing much writing by then.

  but his style was definitely picked up and imitated for many years beyond its wacky, outlandish peak of the the 50's - 70's.

  Writers of 1970's: Fred Franz was the most influential, but by the 70's others had stepped in to help him. Ray Franz, Ed Dunlap (Commentary of James) and many others. So of course the style and prose of the literature was different depending on the piece and if they had written it more themselves or as a committee of group or authors overseen by the Writing Committee. I'd the 50's - 60's really reeked of Fred Franz's ranting types and anti-types prophetic nonsense.

  It's like a long winded joke, and Catholicism was the punch-line.

  OMG, that is absolutely SINISTER and down-right blasphemous! It's changes like this combined with the control, money grab, the very real passage of time (not even supposed to still be in this Old System of Things in 2025!) that have solidified the fact that I was born and raised in a cult. I feel so bad for my late parents whom were exposed and then finally suckered in the mid-70's into this cult. SMH. What a waste of time and youth.

  Honestly, you can really see the downhill slide of the literature after Fred Franz's death in 1992. The Writing Dept was able to recycle his stuff for about a decade and limp it along, but honestly the jig was up. Especially after 1995's "Generation" change.

  I can honestly look back right at the point and time and state with confidence, "It was over, they just didn't know it."

  GB 1.0 and the new 2.0 with Splain, just don't have the old writing chops to be "The Oracle." Combine this was a younger "generation" who couldn't care less about the previous World Wars and weirdo math combined with types and anti-types nonsense, and you've got a recipe for disaster.

  And so it is, that the JW's will very shortly, soon! Any day now! Look like any remaining Congregation of Christadelphians. (if you can find one, that is) - full of grey hairs and ZERO youth. Oh sure, the Kings at the top will hold out for a few decades up on their compound by the lake living off their investment and hedge funds, but that's about it. It's all over. Will the last goat out, switch off the ol' light? lol

  I always had to laugh at the "We don't have clergy" claim, even as kid growing up in it. Oh sure! Care to test that claim? Just start questioning the Elduhz or the CO's or complaining in any fashion, and find out damn quick who Lords it over you in the Congregation! You'll be asked to the back room for a "meeting to adjust your bad attitude and/or thinking."

  I agree with the above where someone asked, "Why does WT need a Law forcing them to do the right thing?"

  Why indeed! Because in WT-Land, it's all about covering shit up and not bring reproach upon Jah's name...blah blah blah. AKA: not bring bad publicity upon themselves. However, they are so stupid as to not see that by NOT simply reporting these CRIMES, that they are making it all so much worse for themselves!

  I'll never forget Sarah Brooks brother, Robert, stating to the journalist in an excerpt of the Oxygen special:

  "It doesn't cost anything to do the right thing."

  Indeed. WT HQ is now paying for doing the wrong thing. Death by 1000 lawsuits is fitting.

  First Time Ever..

  i received a phone call from a jw inviting me to the "special talk.

  " in 25 years out, never happened, don't know them, phone # nowhere near me and it was like she was reading from a script.

  "Phone Witnessing" became even bigger during COVID. Before, it was simply for the elderly or infirm that couldn't pound the pavement or stand by a cart. But once COVID hit, a lot of people switched to the "convenience" of it and never went back.

  I've gotten calls (random stranger JW's) as well as a letter inviting me to the CONvention the other summer. (the one with Lett's "Little enemies of Gawwwwd" comment)

  I used both as opportunities to "fine witness" to these clowns with some real hard-hitting "truth about the truth." My favourite was the letter I got from a local elderly lady. She made the mistake of using her home address instead of the Kingdumb Hell address. I used the Kingdumb Hell address as the "sent by" address, hence masking my identity. I found out she's like 70 years old. She got a 10 page typed letter from me outlining my life raised in this cult, the WT's UN involvement, real estate money grab, CSA lawsuits which are easily found using Google, filling her into as to why so many "yanng onezzzz" are leaving, and also further detailing the child sexual abuse that was apparently all around me in the Congregations I grew up. I also told her how this is NOT the religion I was born and raised in, it was now a money-grubbing televangelist real estate CULT, and that I would be embarrassed to even be associated with the JW's today with all that's changed and going on. Oh, to have been a fly on the wall of that woman's room when she read thru that one! lol
