i'm not after a discussion on the rights or wrongs on abortion, what i'm asking is whether or not your views have evolved over time.. perhaps leaving the watchtower was enough to allow your true feelings on abortion to find expression.
maybe abortion is one of those subjects where you still find yourself in agreement with your old jw self.
did becoming a mother change your perspective in any way or solidify your views?.
Oddly enough even as a JW I was pro-choice in my own mind. Needless to say I never voiced it but I always felt that it was a choice and still do.

Nessy???
in the wake of the 'dannygate' issue it made me think about the impact of apostasy and it various forms and on some level how it equates to the feminist movement and its development over the years.. initially, the radical feminist movement were and are the typical man hating, bra burning cross section who undoubtedly moved womens rights foward significantly and to some degree still do.
without the radical feminist movement, the likelihood of the liberal and more balanced feminist movements ever existing would have been uncertain if not improbable.
so indirectly the feminist movement owes a lot to those radicals who were out there burning bra's and linching men (i was joking about the last bit).
Similarly however we have Radical Apostates such as Danny who (despite his recent abhorent behaviour) are prepared to push boundaries and be seen in the public eye. The placade carrying, scripture shouting, watchtower burning apostates whilst to some might appear over the top, they have had a valid contribution to raising what are considered to be 'apostate' issues to the forefront of minds of insiders and those on the outside.
I was going off the quote above as to what we were considering radical. I don't feel people who start websites like this one and/or form organizations to protect abuse victims to be "radical" per say.

Interesting. As a liberal apostate I tend to feel that radical apostates potentially undermine the gains achieved by those working in a more subtle manner due to the backlash they invite. While they may bring the subject up in a manner that is difficult to ignore they also can generate very negative emotions, feeding into the type of image used by the WT as a scare tactic. Thereby voiding out almost any positive impact.
do you think you are responsible for you own recovery?.
what warning signs are present when you go to a different plan?.
do you really think you can heal from the jw expericance?.
Do you think you are responsible for you own recovery? Of course
How do we do that? Varies according to the person
How have you done that? Research, meditation, moving forward in my life
What warning signs are present when you go to a different plan? a feeling of stagnating, then it's time to change gears
Do you really think you can heal from the JW expericance? yes
or does it mean he's just a lazy bugger who hasn't shaved?
my lady insists i'm nice and smooth but gets all hot and bothered over a bristly ewan mcgregor!

I like the look and feel of stubble.
