References to YHWH in ancient documents
by Doug Mason inpage 15 of awake!
2017 provides an image that shows hebrew writing with the statement: “the personal name of god written in ancient hebrew characters appears abundantly in early manuscripts of the bible”.. alongside that image, the awake!
provides a listing to show “the rendering of ‘god’s name’ in various languages”.. the facts do not support either assertion that the watchtower society makes:.

Jesus is the name that should be used to expel demons. The emphasis on Jehovah by Watchtower makes JWs lose focus on the message of the New Testament
Keep in mind that the name Jesus is not what was being used, it was Jehoshua and Jehoshua is said to be ‘Jehovah is Salvation’.
Luke 1:31 and, look! you will conceive in your womb and give birth to a son, and you are to call his name Jesus.
Luke 2:21 Now when eight days came to the full for circumcising him, his name was also called Jesus, the name called by the angel before he was conceived in the womb.
Acts 4: 12 Furthermore, there is no salvation in anyone else, for there is not another name under heaven that has been given among men by which we must get saved.”
John 5: 43 I have come in the name of my Father, but YOU do not receive me;
Mark 9:38-39 "John said to him: "Teacher, we saw a certain man expelling demons by the use of your name and we tried to prevent him, because he was not accompanying us." But Jesus said: "Do not try to prevent him, for there is no one that will do a powerful work on the basis of my name that will quickly be able to revile me;"
John 10: 25 Jesus answered them: “I told YOU, and yet YOU do not believe. The works that I am doing in the name of my Father,
John 3:17 … He that does not exercise faith has been judged already, because he has not exercised faith in the name of the only-begotten Son of God.
Jehoshua - ‘Jehovah is Salvation’

The original interpolation was 'Yahovah'. The modern "Jehovah" is a further corruption of Yahovah.
Thanks for pointing out ‘Yahovah’. I see that ‘E’ is not used, but I still fail to see how it is always said that the tetragrammaton consisting of consonants YHVH was infused with vowels used from ‘adonai’ and yet all other Hebrew names that only consist of consonants that need vowels infused in order to pronunciate them, there is never a claim the the word ‘adonai’ was used to arrive at these names.
If there is not any question or debate as to the correctness of these other Hebrew names, and if these names are said to mean ‘YHVH this’ and ‘YHVH that’, then it stands to reason that you would most definitely see a part of these names that are the same and what ever that part is (in this case it is JEHO), it seems very reasonable to conclude that that part should be in the correct name of the tetragrammaton. Also because the use of ‘Jah’ is not questioned this too should be found in the correct name of the tetragrammaton.
The spelling JEHOVAH meets both criteria.
JEHO vah
J ehov AH
"Jesus" is also a corrupted form of Yehoshua.
It’s funny that you mention that, because out of all the debate on rather the name Jehovah should be in the NT no one seems to care that the name Jesus is used instead of Jehoshua or at least Joshua.

b) It is well known that the name "Jehovah" is an interpolation of the letters of the tatragrammon with the vowels of 'adonai', concocted by a catholic monk in the 13th century, and, therefore, it is impossible that represents the correct hebrew pronunciation;
Where is the vowel ‘E’ in ‘adonai’.
Are the vowels from ‘adonai’ also responsible for these names as well…Jehoshua , Jehoshaphat, Jah.
See post on page 10.
Why is it important to use God's name at all.
There are many reasons, but one that I think about is Ezekiel chapter 13. In that chapter it states that the stupid prophets mislead Jehovah’s people and are able to do so because they speak their lies as if what they say is coming from Jehovah himself.
The following shows one way how the use of the name of Jehovah can help identify who the stupid prophets are…
5-1-02 WT- The clergy are especially at fault. They refuse to use Jehovah’s name, even taking it out of their Bible versions.
6-1-91 WT- Like ancient Jerusalem, Christendom looks to worldly alliances for security, and her clergy refuse to take refuge in Jehovah. Why, they do not even use his name, and they mock and persecute those who do honor that name.
Teach Us book - We worship only Jehovah, we use his name, and we teach others God’s name and what he will do for us.
12-15-14 WT- As Jehovah’s Witnesses, we have the privilege of being called by his name. God promises us that he is on our side helping us.

Follow the bouncing ball:
I am assuming that no one objects that in the verse below that YHVH [3068] and Joshua [3091] appears there.
Joshua 1:1 And it came about after the death of Moses the servant of Jehovah [3068] that Jehovah [3068] proceeded to say to Joshua [3091] the son of Nun, the minister of Moses:
For [3091] we have:
Yehoshua - Original Word: יְהוֹשׁ֫וּעַ - Jehoshua (short form: Joshua)
No one questions the original Hebrew word being translated in English as Yehoshua and even uses the J instead of Y as in Jehoshua.
Likewise in the follow verse [3092] for Original Word: יְהוֹשָׁפָט – Yehoshaphat - Jehoshaphat
2 Chronicles 17:1 And Je·hosh´a·phat [3092] his son began to reign in place of him and to make his position strong over Israel.
So far we have an example of two names in Hebrew יְהוֹשׁ֫וּעַ and יְהוֹשָׁפָט that no one has a problem with these names in English be tranlatated as Jehoshua and Jehoshaphat.
Now a step further, that was Hebrew to English now Greek to English:
Original Word: Ἰησοῦς – [2424] Iésous - Joshua
Hebrews 4:8 For if Joshua [2424] had led them into a place of rest, God would not afterward have spoken of another day.
Original Word: Ἰωσαφάτ, ὁ - [2498] Iósaphat - Jehoshaphat
Matthew 1:8 A´sa became father to Je·hosh´a·phat [2498]; Je·hosh´a·phat became father to Je·ho´ram; Je·ho´ram became father to Uz·zi´ah;
Again no one seems to question the correctness of the English names Jehoshaphat and Jehoshua (short form: Joshua) from Hebrew יְהוֹשָׁפָט and יְהוֹשׁ֫וּעַ.
So with that said take note of the vowels e & o.
Now bouncing along:
Original Word: יִרְמְיָה – [3414] Yirmeyah – Jeremiah
No one questions the correctness of this English spelling of this Hebrew name.
Notice the vowel, a.
Bouncing along:
Exodus 15:2 My strength and my might is Jah [3050], since he serves for my salvation. This is my God, and I shall laud him; my father’s God, and I shall raise him on high.
Original Word: יָהּ – [3050] Yah – Jah
No one questions the correctness of the use of Jah and again notice the vowel, a.
So we have the vowels e,o & a. (BTW, the whole using the vowels of ‘Adoni’ is nosense. There isn’t even an e in it.)
Now with those vowels taken from names that are not questioned and names that are said to mean:
Jehoshaphat “YHVH Is Judge” and Jehoshua “YHVH Is Salvation”
And a name (Jah) that is said to be a shortened form of YHVH, how could anyone not think that it would be appropriate that those vowels not be used in the YHVH and that the end result of this name we would see the short form Jah and see part of the name that is in Jehoshaphat and Jehoshua.
JHVH + E,O,A
JEHOvah
JEHOshaphat
JAH
JehovAH

Judging by the balderdash reply so far I realize that I should also state that the scriptures that I cited are not relevant to the points being shown. I only used those scriptures to show the use of the names found in them.

Unable to edit my above post. There are a number of things that didn't come out right as far as colors and bolden letters that I feel would help make what I posted clear. Also the links are not suppose to be there and they are not correct. (don't know how they appeared like that) Anyway, hope that what is meant to be shown here can still get through to those that can reason.

no one really knows how to completely spell or accurately pronounce the name that is represented by the tetragrammaton: יְהֹוָה
Every scholar I have read or heard discuss the Hebrew God pronounce it Yahweh.
I was taking a look here and it seems that the best pronunciation is YAHWEH rather then the Jehovah
Jehovah = YHWH + the vowels of Adoni
It was the result of a misunderstanding of a medieval Catholic scholar.
Original Word: יְהוֹשׁ֫וּעַ
Jehoshua (short form: Joshua)
Joshua 1:1 And it came about after the death of Moses the servant of Jehovah[3068] that Jehovah[3068] proceeded to say to Joshua[3091] the son of Nun, the minister of Moses:
Original Word: Ἰησοῦς
Jesus
Hebrews 4:8 For if Joshua[2424] had led them into a place of rest, God would not afterward have spoken of another day.
Matthew 1:21 She will give birth to a son, and you must call his name Jesus[2424], for he will save his people from their sins.
3068. Yhvh
Original Word: יְהֹוָה
Deuteronomy 6:16 “YOU must not put Jehovah[3068] YOUR God[430] to the test, the way YOU put him to the test at Mas´sah.
Luke 4:12 In answer Jesus[2424] said to him: “It is said, ‘You must not put Jehovah your God to the test.’”
Original Word: אֱלֹהִים
God
Original Word: אֲדֹנָי
Lord
Jeremiah 1:6 But I said: “Alas, O Sovereign Lord[136] Jehovah[3068]! Here I actually do not know how to speak, for I am but a boy.”
Joel 2:31 The sun itself will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the coming of the great and fear-inspiring day of Jehovah[3068]. And it must occur that everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah[3068] will get away safe;
Acts 2:20 the sun will be turned into darkness and the moon into blood before the great and illustrious day of Jehovah arrives. 21 And everyone who calls on the name of Jehovah will be saved.”’
3050. Yah
Original Word: יָהּ
Jah
Exodus 15:2 My strength and my might is Jah[3050], since he serves for my salvation. This is my God, and I shall laud him; my father’s God, and I shall raise him on high.
Isaiah 12:2 Look! God is my salvation. I shall trust and be in no dread; for Jah[3050] Jehovah[3068] is my strength and my might, and he came to be the salvation of me.”
Original Word: יְהוֹשָׁפָט
Jehoshaphat
3414. Yirmeyah
Original Word: יִרְמְיָה

Jehovah`s Witnesses Boasted They have No Clergy Laity Class ?
by smiddy inwell that`s what was impressed on me to differentiate between the true religion and false religion , when i was converted in 1960 , do they still claim that ?
believing that they still do , i will say this.. what about ,:the governing body who definitely are set apart from the rank and file for their attitude towards the r&f , but also from the attitude of the r&f towards the governing body members.many do seem to idolise gb members by their actions , and the gb members dont seem to discourage that.. and not only for their attitude , how about their life-style , being housed in bethel with all the mod -cons of modern civilization as opposed to a r&f member living in a third world country .does the wt society do anything to make their lifestyle improve ?
{ did jesus have a place to rest his head ?

Do you agree that in regards to Matthew 24:45-47 of the topic of ‘the faithful slave’ that verse 45 is merely asking the question of who is, but verse 46 goes on to state that ‘the slave’ that is found doing so ‘on the master’s arrival’ is who will ‘then at that time be found to be faithful’ and appointed over the master’s belongings. In other words, ‘the slave’ is just a ‘slave’ prior to the master’s arrival and it is up to the master upon his arrival to determine what slave/s are ‘faithful or not. It is not up to the slave/s themselves to determine their own faithfulness. To further demonstrate this, please consider the following scriptures. (Matthew 25:14,19,21,23,26-27 Luke 19:13,15,17,22-23) As can be seen, the master summoned ‘SLAVES’, not faithful ones, nor wicked ones, just ‘SLAVES’. But it is on the master’s arrival that he then determines which of those ‘SLAVES’ were faithful or wicked. The point being is that it is presumptuous for the ‘slave/s’ to consider/call themselves ‘faithful’ presently, when that is something that is for the master to determine/say when he arrives. In fact to the contrary ‘the slaves’ when calling themselves anything, the master himself said what is found at Luke 17:10…
Another point on this, do you agree that the terms ‘the faithful and discreet slave class/the faithful and discreet slave /the faithful slave class/the faithful slave/the slave class‘ or ‘Governing Body‘ – w/capitals G&B) are titles,…i.e.
[lower case (g) (b) for first century> vs. ]
[12-1-19 WT- “Thousands of the readers of Pastor Russell’s writings believe that he filled the office of “that faithful and wise servant,” and that his great work was giving to the Household of Faith meat in due season. His modesty and humility precluded him from openly claiming this title,]
[6-1-01 WT- Jesus set out the principle: “Do not you be called Rabbi, for one is your teacher, whereas all you are brothers. Moreover, do not call anyone your father on earth, for one is your Father, the heavenly One. Neither be called ‘leaders,’ for your Leader is one, the Christ. But the greatest one among you must be your minister.” (Matthew 23:8-11) A congregation of brothers precludes having a proud clergy class that honors itself with high-sounding titles and elevates itself above a laity.]
________________
Just as Russell’s modesty and humility precluded him from openly claiming such a title, an angel of Jehovah’s that the apostle John fell down to the feet of to worship, and had to be warned not to do so, that angel himself referred to himself as being ‘only a fellow slave’…
Now speaking of the account that John had to be warned by the angel not to worship him (Revelation 22: 8,9) and given the account of the Israelite’s who desired to have a visible image made with the claim that it represented Jehovah, in which Jehovah viewed as idolatry…do you agree that people today can be guilty of idolatry to an organization (or group of men) that claim to represent Jehovah, by giving it (them) any undue devotion, praise, respect, adoration, love, worship, etc…
[9-15-95 WT- ‘The Golden Calf’ And the people said: “All that Jehovah has spoken we are willing to do and be obedient.”—Exodus 24:7. Nevertheless, the Israelites soon sinned against God. They were still encamped at the foot of Mount Sinai. Moses had been on the mountain many days, receiving further instruction from God, and the people pressured Moses’ brother, Aaron, to make a god for them. Aaron complied and made a calf out of gold that the people provided. It was claimed that this idol represented Jehovah. (Psalm 106:20) The next day they offered sacrifices and kept “bowing down to it.” Then they had “a good time.”—Exodus 32:1, 4, 6, 8, 17-19.]
[4-1-07 WT- ‘Showing Due Respect for the Faithful Slave‘ A fundamental reason for showing proper respect for the faithful slave class is that by so doing, we are in fact showing respect for the Master, Jesus Christ.…Therefore, when we loyally submit to the direction of the faithful slave and its GoverningBody, we are submitting to Christ, the slave’s Master….For this reason, all in the congregation view it as their sacred duty to follow and uphold the direction coming from the faithful slaveand its Governing Body]
[12-1-90 WT- We have the opportunity to show love for our brothers who take the lead in the congregation or in connection with Jehovah’s visible organization worldwide. This includesbeing loyal to “the faithful and discreet slave.” (Matthew 24:45-47) Let us face the fact that no matter how much Bible reading we have done, we would never have learned the truth on our own.]
[11-1-90 WT- Further direction comes from “the faithful and discreet slave” class of anointed Christians. These have been helped by Jehovah’s spirit to understand his will progressively. (Matthew 24:45-47; Proverbs 4:18) Thus, when direction comes from Jehovah’s organization, we can wisely submit to it,]
[11-15-09 WT- By word or action, may we never challenge the channel of communication that Jehovah is using today. (Num. 16:1-3) On the contrary, we should cherish our privilege to cooperate with the slave class.]
[4-15-13 WT- How do we demonstrate our support for the arrangements made by Jehovah’s organization? One important way is by always putting our confidence in the ones whom Jehovah and Jesus trusting]
[2-15-09 WT- Since Jehovah God and Jesus Christ completely trust the faithful and discreet slave, should we not do the same?]
