The sad thing about this, is that it became an "US vs THEM" item.

And someone, perhaps one member of the GB, will at some point, either during a DC talk, or on some other public talk, remember the account of the cananites who were on their way to attack King Jehoshaphat, and Jehovah caused the enemies to be confused and fight each other and decimate each other even before they meet Judah's army. He will then emphasize the passage where Jehovah said through Jehaziel: " You need not fight in this battle" (2 Chronicles 20:17) And then that member of the GB will say: "You see brothers, we don't need to fight with the apostates. Jehovah causes them to fight between each other and kill each other, even before they make a successful attempt to attack His organization"

Spot on! I didn't have time to comment before, but as I was reading through the whole document, I have found the WT's representative answers to be reasonable but that was clearly a MANIPULATION of words and obviously the person conducting the inquiry should have gone deeper into that alley of interogation.
His use of the term "minister", and how he makes a distinction between "minister" and "member" it's a departure from the official teaching of the Watchtower Society, according to which ALL baptised Jehovah's Witnesses are ORDAINED MINISTERS. By equivaling "minister" to "church official" he effectively reduced the number of cases to two - meaning, the cases of child abuse envolving Elders or Ministerial Servants.
It's not an oversight. It's an obvious and willing misrepresentation of the facts.

are they themselves not guilty of shunning those who shun?
shunning can never be stopped no matter how bad you want it to.

I think there's an aspect that the video should have made mention too: The threat of shunning upon those who don't comply with the shunning policy. That is, if your relative gets DF'd or DS'd, the ones that remain in are threatedned with DF themselves (with the consequent shunning) if they insist on keeping contact with the one that was DF'd or DS'd. That's a crucial part of the enforcement of the shunning policy that should have been mentioned.
The emphasis is given on the mental suffering of the person that is being shunned, but there should also be made reference to the suffering of those that are suffering as well for being forced at gun point to comply with the shunning policy.

I really don't have the time (or pacience) to go into an endless debate with you on what is "common sense" and what it may or may not do for you. If you think that an open, public incitement for insult may perhaps be a "brilliant" idea, because it's the final outcome that will determine how you perceive its nature, then you fail to understand its intrinsic value.
If I would insult your wife with an outrageous curse word, and try to mob others into doing the same, would you stop and think ..."hmmm i don't know how I should take this .... it may well be a brilliant way to get my wife to improve her self-awareness. Perhaps these guys are geniuses. Let me wait and see the outcome". Or would you be outraged?
That's a tiny bit of common sense for you.

I'm surprised that you're still "undecided whether it’s a good or bad idea". Common sense should tell you it's an awful idea. If you wanted any further evidence that the likes of Bo and Julia are out to make AAWA a HATE GROUP, I don't think it could get any more self-explanatory. This is actually the logical sequence to the detestable thread "We Know Who They Are", also instigated by Bo and Julia.
