did anybody out there lie on their service reports that they maintained the 'national average' when in reality you got .005 hours of service in any given month?
i magically always used to always get "10" hours out in service, while nobody ever saw me at the groups, no one ever caught on, or seemed not to -- maybe they just didn't give a shit.. i always lied so i could keep my microphone 'privelidges' -- that being, the privelidge to walk around at the back of the hall giving my deflated ass a break from those awful chairs they had.

That really ticks me off!Speaking of property, you may know ( I think you were in Brooklyn at one stage? ) that Brooklyn has warehouses of 10,000's square feet lying empty and unproductive and they have remained this way for years. While the homeless sleep in boxes in their back-yards, these 'true Christians' have empty buildings that could house thousands of people. Instead they leave it to the Salvation Army and other 'hypocritical religionists' to do their dirty work for them.

Haven't read the book but The Learning Channel is currently showing a series every Monday called "How to Build a Human". The very first episode of the series a couple of weeks ago delt with this very issue about how hormones effect the sex of your brain. It was very interesting.
They showed a woman that had always wanted to be a man so she started getting testosterone injections. Her voice deepened and she started growing facial hair but that wasn't all they discoverd. They had her take a "brain" test before she started the treatment and her test results were female but after only a short time having testosterone injections, she took the test again and her brain function had crossed over to being more male than female. I can't remember all the details of that "brain test" but I do remember for example one part of the test envolved looking at words on a screen and picking certain words out ( something like that anyway, don't remember exactly). Supposedly woman were more prone to see certain words and men are more prone to pick out others, or something to that nature.
They also told the story of a woman that was genetically male but physically female. When she reached college and had not started her menstrual cycle, she got concerned and went to see a doctor about it. After running tests they found out she had an X and a Y chromosome, thus should have been a boy not a girl but she has a rare syndrome in which her body does not respond to testosterone. They explained how since her body did not respond to the testosterone while developing in the fetus, she did not develope testicles or a penis, the only choice her body had was to make her female but since she had a Y chormosome she didn't develope a Uterus or felopian tubes either. She basically had a vagina but no corresponding sexual organs, so she would never have a period or have children. She was also very tall and her bone structure was big like a mans because of the Y chromosome but since her body does not respond to testosterone her brain is female.
I found it extremely interesting to say the least. Let me know what you think of the book when your done reading it, I might want to read it if you give a good review. [ ;)]

some (cousins, nieces, nephews) were young children at the time; now some are 18 and older.
they are not allowed to speak to me, but of course those rules don't apply in the reverse.

I would send them a note once in a while just to let them know you do think about them and care. I would include as much contact info. as you feel comfortable giving so that know where to contact you. This way, in the future they can never say they didn't know how to contact you. Also, I think it shows you as the better person.
I don't see this as disrespectful at all. Now if someone contacts you at tells you never to contact them again, well then that's a different story.

Being angry in your situation is only normal. You need to find a way to help yourself get past that anger because while it's normal and you have every right feel that way, you shouldn't hold on to it for too long. Holding on to anger will only hurt you in the long run.
Right now the situation is so fresh, you need to feel angry and let it all out. Eventually I know you'll get over it, just give yourself time and if during this time you do experience times when you feel that genuine love you have for your parents, take that opportunity to send them an email or letter. Something short that just says you were thinking of them and hoping they are doing well.

Update: My Uncle's funeral

i can count 5 witnesses...only 5, that offered any sort of comfort to me.
those are the ones that i know really love(d) me.

I'm really sorry to hear it Fire. I was hoping that it would be your dads wake up call.
I'm glad for your aunt and I'm glad you stayed. I'm proud of you for standing up for yourself and not letting them get the better of you. I hope some of the things you said to your mom will make her think. She has to see the difference in you, your strength, courage and how your doing so well without them.
I'm proud of you girlie... Your going to be just fine.
