  Jesus died of starvation, his brain starved of Oxygen, and at that stage, the mind plays tricks, aka near death experiences.

  so wt writers, follow Jesus' example stop substituting Jesus own choice of words " Father", "God" with the modern day version of the divine name.

  LUHE I think the death penalty should be kept

  The problem with any punishment is, that callous criminals will commit murder, worse crimes, to keep hiding their identity, escape punishment.

  maybe, that is why Cain was never punished, the not so good samaritan, that knew about the plan never intervened. in the genesis story. --- good samaritan laws now?

  btw, people have been executed for being just part of the party that was involved in a killing.

  I do not understand the high tolerance for crime among atheists. or

  the high tolerance for gang rape among feminists,

  as a nonagenarian deist I believe everyone has a right to live, to life, -- except when you deny that right to someone else by killing them. then you have given up that right, proven yourself unworthy to live. then,

  ask for euthanasia a eu = good --death. a privilege you probable denied your victim[s].

  the death penalty also shouldn't be so humane,

  AM, no, it should be a painless elimination, under full anesthesia. but with the criminology budgets heavily expandet to make prevention, protection, detection prosecution, elimination as flawless as possible.

  Reserve prisons, ghettos for groups that are crime prone.

  PS perhaps the atheistic frame of mind favours a free for all, a lawless mess of a universe.

  Raising a teenager outside of “the truth”

  i was raised as a jw and left the group as many of the teachings don’t align with my core values.

  now, forward almost 10 years, my wife and i are raising our kids through puberty and i have to admit, this challenge is not easy and seems to be even more difficult in that my own upbringing was very different.

  i find it hard to compare how i was raised with what i now must do for my own kids.
