Hey Gander, that was a quick response! Hunkering over the 'puter on a Saturday morning, eh? Yes, my mom passed a few years back, shortly after my brother left, tough year that was. After Dad passed, I had no reason to pretend to believe in the 'truth'. Do they still call it that? I have no use for religion in general, all based on myths, anyhow. What can I change, believing in some dogma? God didn't give us free will, he gave us Free Willy!! 1,2,3 and 4 in fact!! My baby sister (Linda)still is a staunch JW, indoctrinating her two boys. We don't talk about it. It's strange. I remember your kids. Three, or so? How are they? I have a daughter, was married for a while but now single. Life is still amazing and wondrous even with a fatalistic viewpoint like mine. Would like to see you sometime if you still live in Motown. My sister (Charlene) still lives there. Take care.

Glander, are you still out there? I Googled Robert 'Slim' Johnson and the one and only hit that I got was from you and this site. I was reluctant to join this website being that I haven't been calling myself a Jehovah's Witness since the seventies. I see now that mostly ex-JW's post here. Bob was my father. I remember you and your family fondly. I have always thought that it was pretty cool that you and my dad collaborated on cartooning and that you actually worked on a Watergate series, given the fact that JW's are pretty detached from political stuff. Hope all is well with you and your family.
Sincerely,
Jack Johnson
