Can't remember the exact brochure right now but one of the ones with a photo of a family had a guy that apparently left later on and the picture was redone win a new person.
I don't think that's the only case either.
i was just wondering if any of those jw's who got their story told or featured as "a fine example" in the publications, if they ever left the org later?
i mean i know regular jw's would probably never hear about it but i thought maybe you guys might?

Each to his or her own Konceptual. If the rest of the UK was run like Brighton no one would travel anywhere if they wanted something more powerful than a bicycle. Don't go in for the lentil eating sandal wearing car hating lifestyle myself.
If you want a city by the sea try Portsmouth. Proper maritime history there!
Love bits of Pompey especially around Southsea and the Naval Dockyard. Dunno what you mean about no cars in Brighton. They go everywhere.
Surely we can both agree Southampton really is a dump ;-) sorry cantleave! Having said that, all my in laws are over there!

So just over 9k here today and somewhere around 25, 30 tops baptised.
Popped out for a while as it's Letts doing a sound drama.
Just had a talk about growth and delegating reponsibility where the speaker said that in a "recent period 2.7 million people have been baptised". I don't think it's that recent. Got to be the best part of decade surely.
noticed this whilst trawling the stream of convention instagram spam..... http://t.co/ptndxmg8k0.

TBH today was not too bad. I dozed through most of it. The drama is geared up at hitting anyone who is wavering faith wise, encouraging them to consider the "many and undeniable" truths about Jesus' life, ministry and miracles.
The talk on inactive ones completely ignores the fact that people do actively decide that the org is not for them and want out. It plays the card that inactive ones still believe in Jehovah's promises and just need love bombing back.
The encouraging thing was seeing a number of people looking very disengaged, not clapping, not singing, looking around in the prayer etc. and the large number of beards, some of them truely awesome.
Attendance 7800 and 8200 or 8400 (can't remember) which I would suggest points to a Sunday attendance at around 10-11k, 12 if they are VERY lucky.
