5 stages of dealing with TTATT?
by El_Guapo inthanks to this website and jwfacts, i have come to learn the "infamous" ttatt.. i've had soooo many emotions the last couple months.. (fyi: i've been baptized since '95 third gen jw, elder father and every other member of my family is a regular pioneer).
i was wondering, like dealing with greif : are there 5 stages for dealing with ttatt?.

What evidence is there for Jesus (NOT USING THE BIBLE)?
by punkofnice ini have often wondered if there is any actual archealogical evidence that jesus existed other than the claims of the bible.. i don't want to go down the route of 'you can't prove he didn't exist' as this is tiresome.
or 'well pontius pilate existed we found a stone with his name on so it follows jesus existed!

00DAD.. I just read those articles you posted the link to and I noticed in there it said ' The researchers concluded that music may inhibit cognitions that result in dissonance reduction.' That gave me a OMG moment.. they've recently started playing Kingdom melodies before and after the meetings now!!
Is this to help rid everyone of their cognitive dissonance?

Could you get your hubby to read Crisis of Conscience by Raymond Franz? Ask him to read it and if he does, promise him you'll accept his decision to continue with the JWs if that's what he wants. Most JWs that read this book are shaken to the core.

How many more incarnations will he have? This is getting just ridiculous!!
He has his head in the sand just as the GB do. (Maybe he's one of them? ) Because they cannot accept that Jerusalem was destroyed in 587BCE they have to have something to hang on to. Ie. the 70 years servitude and they have to try and make it fit with their own interpretation of historical events.
They are too pig headed to accept the thousands of irrefutable evidence staring them in the face that they have to push it all to one side. However. what is the starting point? It's based on the same historical evidence that they refuse to accept! The bible has no dates except those based on the reigns of the various kings so dates have to be relied upon as produced by archeological evidence. I'm not hot on all the ins and outs of all the arguements but even this makes sense to me!
For someone who claims he's intelligent then why can't he see the simple truth?
