  What kind of person was Nathan H. Knorr?

  we have several examples in the forum showing that president knorr was not a loving and caring person; one that impressed me was the one about the elderly bethelite that was put out on the streets until his death due to a disagreement with knorr.

  i bring to your attention an incident that happened in the country of honduras back in the 50s, it has to do with immoral conduct by a branch overseer and his subsequent disfellowshiping.

  i am not critical of the end result of his conduct but rather the salacious and detailed report of this matter putting in the open the details for the whole world to see.

  What kind of person was Nathan H. Knorr?

  As did Rutherford, Nathan Knorr always travelled first class, and often bought two seats. He would put his briefcase on the other vacant seat. Someone speculated he did this because he became very uncomfortable when travelling and people would ask him what he did for a living.

  I believe Knorr lived on a 7th floor and had a fantastic view of the City. His quarters were also air conditioned and he had a full kitchen and full-time personal chef.

  The watchtower mentions the scriptures, so there are bound to be similarities - but the differences are vast: Armageddon does appear in the inspired scriptures, so it is going to happen sometime - but the timeline of the watchtower is clearly wrong. Armageddon will happen sometime after God's intervention, but it is not synchonised to it......Acts5V29

  You preach "There will be an Armageddon"..So does Watchtower..

  Well not really. worshipJehovah.org is not a religion, and everyone - good or bad, believing in the intervention or not - will be rescued alive at God's intervention. We do not impose rules or beliefs on anyone, infact neither I nor my colleagues are allowed to teach scripture and beliefs.

  Our ministry is different from the ones you mention, nothing to do with the watchtower no matter what coffy may impute - infact, a mere consequence of it shows that Armageddon cannot possibly be imminent, that the events of Revelation have not yet begun, and that the centuries-long preaching of imminent Armageddon has all been flawed.

  Ours points to the climate crisis, and says there is a rescue of everyone alive - regardless of belief - and points to the 1st prophecy which warned we would reach this stage. Its proof requires not only a nemesis - such as the climate crisis will eventually be - but also a rescue from God, otherwise His prophecy that leaving Him would bring our demise would be hollow. The reasoning is very simple......Acts5v29

  What's a word that describes the way Witnesses behave as a group?

  i can't recall the word that describes a group that keeps to itself like the witnesses do.

  i thought it was "insular" but i don't think that's the one i'm looking for after reading the definition.

  i remember an elder using the word "clannish" and that has the proper definition but it reminds me of a group of elves.
