  Reddit thread Warning young JWs that ‘Spiritual Goals’ are Not a Career!

  as somebody who worked full-time when i was in the witness religion, this topic naturally caught my eye.. many of the responses are heartfelt.

  there are about 90 at this point.

  from what i read so far.. many are people who woke up before they got old but even these are resentful over their life being derailed with wasted time pursuing spiritual goals and having to start over at a later age getting an education/job.. i imagine born-in young jws would be most susceptible to this.. in today’s world, a ‘career’ is something that earns you a living.. as many of the responses there will say: anybody who pursues ‘spiritual goals’ only will end up with wasted time in the end with no money and no retirement plan… i couldn’t agree more.. it would be a shame if this happens to yet more jws..

  @LHG [+ other members]➡ This cultporation DEMONIZING higher education---+ & also other training programs in order to obtaining better employment---is HEINOUS on so many levels. This cultporation, which is a MULTI-BILLION DOLLAR corporation, has its leadership PERSUADING its membership to STAY POOR & UNDEREDUCATED for the rest of their lives. The TITLES within don't amount to a hill of beans/NO VALIDITY in the real world--corporate or governmental. Many D.W.Ts*, including Bethellites, had to resort to attending educational training programs later in life to ensure that they have some viable income to support themselves: Specifically since WT is REFUSING to support their followers in these individuals' times of need, which in the majority of cases are not any fault of their own. It's damningly sad that this EXTREMELY WEALTHY COMPANY continues to cry out for MONETARY ASSISTANCE, DOESN'T WANT TO PAY TAXES---but OTOH, D.G.A.D. if their parishioners experience HARDSHIPS during their own lifetimes. UNGODLY & UNCHRISTLIKE to the maxing core!

  Juneteenth being celebrated by JWs

  so today i saw a group of jws i know, we were sitting down to eat at a public place and i guess they (mom and daughter) were performing at an event with their sports team… for juneteenth.. they (the entire team) happened to sit next to us for some fast food and i recognized them and said hi, hoping to make them uncomfortable.

  they actually said hi and introduced themselves to my family, i’ve seen them before (they go to the same school as one of my kids) and they usually ignore me.

  i know for a fact they and their family still goes, the family patriarch is an elder etc.

  Just like WT doesn't want Dubs to observe MLK, Jr.'s Birthday, they no doubt don't want Dubs to celebrate Juneteenth either. The leadership is OUT OF TOUCH with how CERTAIN aspects/things are conducted within this 2️⃣1️⃣ST CENTURY (for they are REACTIONARIES with their mindset-mentalities remaining in the 1940s & 1950s). The leadership will seem to NEVER ACCEPT this or any other social changes, which are NORMAL as well.

  What you related is surely telling, in that Dubs will be willing to also COUNT TIME with individuals they don't know could be VZs or even POMOs. A POMO Dub friend had this happen to him:

  A UUPIMI (who was no doubt new to the cong in his neighborhood) continued to leave literature and send letters to my friend's home. Info got back to him from a couple of PIMO friends [whom are making plans to fade sometime soon] that this UUPIMI was informed by a couple of elders that my POMO buddy was inactive and that this Dub should cease from having him as an RV + the Body plans to conduct a visit sometime soon. Unfortunately, due to some other UUPIMI sisters secretly encouraging him to continue, he snuck and kept on doing so. It wasn't until my friend's family members told those elders. He eventually stopped the following week. Those other UUPIMIs were quite upset and remarked: "Well, we can reach even INACTIVE ones in that manner before the elders do--and still count time. INACTIVE ones are the equivalent to WORLDLINGS; they are not doing ANYTHING for Jehovah or the organization!" SMDH! 🤦‍♀️🤦‍♂️🙄😤😡

  do you have to be invited?

  is there any way of listening in on the kh meeting?

  it's been about 30 years since i have been to a kh and they would have a conference call of 4 people on the phone together because they were sick.

  One now-POMO friend's PPIMI relative remarked that she (+ anyone else inquiring) would have to contact each different congregation's BOE to obtain that info. It seemed to me that WHQ's no doubt has the elders (& COs) QUITE PARANOID concerning this mode of communication. [SIDEBAR➡ ANTMO, when he was a GBer, acted as if he HATED this platform anyway and constantly reiterated for the membership to ATTEND IN PERSON, regardless of their physical statuses or conditions.🤨🤔]

  @jehovaxx➡ As always: When SOMETHINGS is occurring on The Planet, the cultporation ALWAYS tries their damndest to invoke FEAR, causing their members to become "FAINT OUT OF FEAR", with declarations regarding The Great Trib & The Big A arriving someday soon. However, as shown, that is a FALSE ALARM to the R&F. WT wants their membership to be beholden to them and to place their "trust & reliance" into this false/ fraudulent organization in reference to just about EVERYTHING in life.

  Some of these elders, who have applied their CRITICAL THINKING SKILLS in addition to having doubts + inquiries about this cultporation, have no doubt put their priorities into place to become PIMQ-to-PIMO, FADING at their own personal pace. These men have come to the realization that this organization is not what it is cracked up to be and that they are NOT TRULY BENEFITTING from being a part of it.

  i have this memory of a gb member once saying that there would be a lot of bodies to be buried after armageddon.. does anyone else remember who said it?.

  it was probably in the last decade or so.

  ive been trying to find the video i’m sure it was on lloyd evens and all the other similar channels when it was said.. i can’t remember which gb member said it.

  @Scully➡ You know, I had the same thoughts! Since Jehovah is said to be "OMNIPOTENT" and "ALL POWERFUL", why is the leadership speaking about the membership having to BEAR THE BRUNT of burying dead carcasses--which I personally find EXTREMELY MACABRE😲😱, to say the least & the most.

  It's as if the GBs---especially ANTMO, when he was in that particular group---DOES NOT PARTICULARLY CARE about what The Big A Survivors have to undergo regarding this aspect. I suspect that he nor none of the other GB members will be dealing with an enormous task such as the likes of that! So, why throw it on the Survivors--- specifically since these humans have been and, no doubt, PROVED FAITHFUL to them and JG?

  Hmmmm. . . . . . . Something, once again/ad nauseam, about THIS distinct doctrine DOES NOT PASS THE SMELL TEST! 🤨

  @NotFormer➡ You are NOT kidding + I agree with you! BETHELL was HYPED UP to the greater degree that just about EVERYONE wanted to, if not only be a member of That Family but to look forward to visiting/touring the facilities for many reasons [dating & marrying, included]. After seeing/noticing the behaviors of some Bethellites (regardless of their positions + titles), I began to realize that that component of the cultporation wasn't all what it was cracked up to be. AAMOF, 4 of my own family members [siblings & relatives] who applied to become full-time, commuter, and temporary volunteers had declined. Welp, they weren't accepted anyway. NO DIFFERENT from people OUTSIDE OF WT!

  so i guess the "paradise" earth is going to be stinky to the point of vomiting with 6 billion dead bodies of not witnesess.

  how long would it take to bury these people?

  If the BIG A Survivors are instructed to bury that battle's dead, they wouldn't have the knowledge of what to do so: Because more than likely the individuals who would be knowledgeable about this subject ARE PROBABLY A NUMBER OF THE DECEASED GROUP ANYWAYS‼😱
