although being religious is one of the definitions os " spiritual " it encompasses much more in the webster's new world dictionary , under the word spiritual it's definition is : " 1. of the spirit or the soul as distinguished from the body or material matters 2. of, from, or concerned with the intellect ; intellectual 3. of or consisting of spirit ; not corporeal 4. characterized by the ascendancy of the spirit ; showing much refinement of thought and feeling 5. of religion or the church ; sacred, devotional, or ecclesiastical ; not lay or temporal 6. spiritualistic or supernatural .
quite a variety of definitions !
Ways in which my wife and I are more spiritual in our post Watchtower lives:
We have less hypocrites as associates,
more spiritual books than when we had a W. B. & T. S. library,
pray more,
don't have the pressure to be pretentious and can think more about GOD,
pay better attention to our grown children's family needs,
I have an accredited diploma instead of W. T. elementary elders training school,
that's all I'll say for now, except...

apostates undercover elders (i know there are some professed elders on here) have you ever handled a jc envoling a publisher viewing sites like jwn or others and who question the gb etc.. and if not what if you were assigned a jc involving apostacy?.

I know that most of us need counseling after having our emotions abused by the WT for years.
But, unless we also adjust our attitudes; we can become abusers ourselves.
Studies show that abusers were once abused themselves,
and both types often are found in the same home.
The JW's like to think of their selves as being a big family,
and we know they have major problems!
They are good at hiding it; yet as soon as victims like us act out what we've seen them do,
they point the finger at us!
My advice is that we not go from one abusive relationship, into another abusive relationship.
The Bible shows that we may just need to cool down; no more wood or coals,
and then think through it.

what is done with the bread and the wine after the conclusion of the memorial?.
is it normally tossed in the trash and poured down the drain?.
if so, wouldn't that be simbolic of throwing jesus' body in the trash and pouring his blood into the sewer?.
I made wheat matzos last year for our memorial at home.
It was so thick that while baking and turning over, it puffed up in the middle like pitas.
They were a plain recipe from the web, and are okay with jelly.

We're Aware, not anointed; but I'm researching the Eucharist.

They quote the Messiah; yet in practice, insist that "recognizing" their GB is the "only" way to truth and "salvation!" I guess that makes WT the divine teachers on earth, that can 'wily-nilly' change their minds. That they can also demand that we discard real truths at their beck and calling! Guys; can we agree on this at least...
1) Flee from Saul = God's anointed David had to live as a fugitive in the wilderness,
while an apostate controlled the Israelite religion.
2) Prophets flee to the wilderness = GOD's true worshipers.
3) Flee to the mountains = Jesus brothers with the gifts of the holy spirit.
4) Flee from Babylon the great = Christendom, all religions and WT publishing corporation.
Hence; an interpretation of "generation" by the WT is devoid of credibility.
Which means our safety isn't in the wooded and growing estates of WT's Paterson Bldgs.
Outside the big city of Babylon(all religion) is the wilderness, that's where we flee to; not WT!
as a child we do what our parents tell us to do.
or, we are disciplined.
we learn to see the world a "certain" way.

I've seen this gloating over defeating a college grad. take place in more than four congos.
This mentality has had to have been developed in these elders from the society's traveling overseers.

I've been enjoying a lot of good posts from Terry and all lately. You may find it interesting to know that on another thread some one mentioned that the CO's test idea's for Bethel. It was said that before a "new thought" is developed and published by the WT; they get some feed back form the CO's. These ideas are generously "leaked" to appreciative and privileged elders and pioneers through this represenitive of the GB! The reception in checked on how well it does, and rebuttals are reasoned out in NY. If they have a strong case for printing this as a teaching, and serves the interests of the "organization"; then wella'! More new light! Hopefully it is well thought out, or more light may be nessesary to explain, change or cover up this light from "heaven".
