Watchtower attorney again tries to get Geoffrey Jackson off the hook of testifying by repeating the medical condition of Jackson's father, but Justice Mclellan isn't buying it anymore.
Mclellan says, "That's not enough for me now given what I know about his role in the Organization."
He is on to the dishonesty of Jehovah's Witnesses in this case.

Geoffrey Jackson is being discussed.
Justice McLellan said he was told by Watchtower lawyer that Jackson's job was only in Translation, therefore he would be of no use to the Commission. But O'Brien now says Jackson has a much broader role in Watchtower, and McClellan says he is forming a much different opinion of Jackson than he had before.
I get the feeling they are leading up to calling Geoffrey Jackson in to testify. I hope that happens.

Toole says he doesn't know about the Theocratic War Strategy, which the attorney read from a 1957 Watchtower, because he came into the org in 1970 something and has therefore never read the 1957 Watchtowers.
As if you can't read something prior to your own baptism. What a liar. He knows all about the TWS and has been using it all day.

This shows that yesterday Spinks lied when he said the Australian branch could act independently from the Governing Body. By saying that he was simply towing the party line and protecting the G.B. from responsibility. I feel Spinks did that in an effort to keep a G.B. member from having to appear at this proceeding.
The Commission is now dismantling Spinks testimony, perhaps. I hope their aim is to get a G.B. member there.

Yes, the Commission is on to Watchtower. It isn't buying much of anything Watchtower witnesses are saying. But I get the feeling that the Watchtower reps think they are being real smooth, and all theocratic.
I continue to be astounded at how knowledgeable the Commission is about Watchtower. They are incredibly bright and sharp to boot.
Spinks just said that Watchtower will not change to conform to Gov't regulations when there is a clear scriptural principal to guide them that is at odds with the Gov't.
Justice Mclellan was not amused.
Problem is, Watchtower always says their teachings are solidly based on scripture. When any point of view changes, the new understanding will also be based on solid scripture, so they will say.
Watchtower's understanding of scripture is in a constant state of flux, there is nothing solid about it regardless of claims at any given time.
Spinks was asked if the Australian branch decided that the two-witness rule was not a scriptural requirement could they proceed with that understanding without the Governing Body's approval.
Of course they could not, but he is hedging big time. Spinks will not give a straight answer.
Theocratic War Strategy at work!
Spinks is saying that Organizational changes could happen in Australia without approval of the Governing Body.
He is simply trying to shield the GB from responsibility with the aim of not having a GB member come and testify.
...if a victim wants to speak to a woman, they accommodate that. He then suggested there needed to be a similar outlet in the JW religion.
Watchtower could make that work if they wanted to, if they cared about children. The problem is that children, as well as all human life and welfare, are disposable to the Watchtower Organization.
Edit: If that ever did happen it would be 'New Light' worth having, as opposed to the 'overlapping-generation' gibberish that Watchtower is so proud of putting out there.
