Do you ever think that you will stop JW-bashing and get on with your life?

i was recently talking to a girl in my psychology class who told me that she use to be a jw and was df'd in the mid 1990's.

this girl shocked me because usually ex-jws are so unhappy and miserable and spend most of their time complaining about the "evil" wt society.

she told me that when she was df'd alot of ex-jws swarmed towards her trying to get her to "bash" the wt but she refused.

Booker I wonder if your friend , even thou she is exjw, did you say she was disfellowshipped?

Some who are d/f , still believe it to be the closet thing to the truth, so they still have attachment to it.

My hubby ran across someone like this at work the other day. He was d/f , shaved head, goatee, and having fun. But he was not comfortable talking apostate stuff. He said most exjw's , or more directly apostates are just bitter.

My hubby told him we didnt leave because we sinned and just wanted to live our own lives, but that we no longe believed it to be truth. This guy said that the "jw's have the closet thing to truth", and so he is still attached.

There is a difference in being bitter ,angry for being d/f than leaving the religion because you cant go along with the WT lies anymore.

So not all exjw's are gruntled. They just tell their stories and why they left. OF course there is bitterness to a decree, mainly because of the years of being lied to , and the hardships but on us while we tried so hard to be perfect JW's.

Fibromyalgia?? what works for you?

i have had fms, for over 12 years.

i have been under alot of stress lately and it has caused a major flare up.

lortab doesn't even help today.

I have been refreshing my fibro reading, going on websites, one is called Fibrohugs, cute huh?

I have read so many books on this , so I know alot of things that I need to work on.

Without going into too much graphic detail.......lol,,,,Monday my brother in law was reported missing, long , long story. Basically , I spent a total of 7 hours on the phones, sometimes a cell phone to one ear and house phone on the other trying to find him.

I even had to call the state's medical examiner , looking for bodies of John Doe's.

Well, I am sure that is what started the downhill spiral of stress and drama this week.

When my Mother committed suicide we had to wait by the phone for hours , to find out if it was her.

This ordeal, brought back all of that pain. I felt pain for my BIL, and my parents in law. I remembered all too well, the not knowing, the worst fears imagined.

Thankfully he was found and we are doing all that we can to help him now.

There was alot more drama , but geessssssssh I wont even get into that.....lol.

I am trying not to panic , because sometimes these flareups hang on forever, but I have been without major symptoms for so long .

Today, is horrible. If anyone has ever had a migraine , I tell them that is what this feels like except in the muscles .

I just scored.....lol, I know that sounds horrible, some Klonapin, and that worked well for me before. Maybe in a few days this will pass and each day will be less painful.

I am going to look into the things ya'll do for yours, as well.

I have had FMS, for over 12 years. I have been under alot of stress lately and it has caused a major flare up. Lortab doesn't even help today.

I was on Klonapin for this for a couple of years , but got off it . It really did help ,but I don't want to rush back to this , only as a last resort.

I am fairly active, and I am sure this flareup is just stress related.

So how do you cope? Do you take daily meds? Natural supplements?

I wish they made a full body heating pad right now....lol.

How do you deal with a long distance relationship?

my husband is off working hail in amarillo, texas right now and has been gone so much of this year.

when the kids were smaller , we all went , which was great fun, seeing new places.. circumstances are now that i can't leave home , i have to stay home with the kids so that they have a somewhat normal life now that we are borg free.. we have unlimited talk time on our cell phones and that is what keeps us close.

today i cried as i put a few of his clothes he still has here, most of his clothes are with him, and it was so painful seeing the drawers so empty.

That will be so much fun Brooke , getting to spend time with family. My kids are older 18, 12 and 10 but stay on the verge of trouble all the time..lol. I know it would have been so hard to leave them when they were little like yours are. But ya know , they will be fine , they are young enough to keep occupied , it just takes some videos, games, the park, Chucky Cheese outtings from Grands and Dad .

Sassy, wow Law!! how exciting. I watch alot of A & E , court tv, etc, and I am fasinated with this sort of thing, I hope I understand you right on what you are taking.

I am not even ready to do anything like that, but a new interest or hobby would be great. Since Denny is traveling for work , I get so bored . I know I need some new books.

Congrats on the walking, I need to do that too. I want to get an exercise bike to put in my room, so when I watch TV,I can watch my shows and exercise. I don't like walking so much, foot problems so I really need to do this.

Whats the spookiest thing that has happened to you?

i have had a few experiences which some could be dealt with rationally although even to this day the coincidences seem too convenient; .

mine was on new years day in 1994; i didnt celebrate new years at the same although i was about to start my fade that year; i was ill on new years eve anyway and i had been sleeping when i awoke at precisely 12.13. i couldnt get back to sleep but there was no obvious reason why.. my grandmother was in hospital but she was getting better when i had last spoken to her; i managed to back off to sleep but woke that following morning for some reason really concerned about my gran; just as i was coming downstairs the phone rang and my girlfriend answered it.

i said to her before she got to the phone that it would be my mother with bad news about my gran; i was right on both counts; it was my mum and my gran had died.....at 12.13 precisely..

That is interesting Brooke , because I have had some strange experiences while dreaming, or in that state before you drift off, or who knows where our mind goes.

I had a dream that my hubby's Grandfather was dying, we knew he was going too soon. I dreamed my Mother in law called and said......." well, it's over", then she said, no wait he isnt dead,,,,,,,,,,,,,,then she said " yes he is gone".

I woke up straight out of the bed and it woke my hubby up, I told him about it. He said it was just a dream and to try to get some sleep.

The phone rang a few hours later and I answered it ,,,,,,,my MIL said...." well it's over". Just like she said in the dream. I told her all about the dream , that he was dead , then she said he wasnt. She said that is how it happened. They all thought he was dead for awhile ,but he was still alive then 30 to 40 minutes later he really was gone.

I have had a few dreams like this since I was young. I used to dream that my Mother died. I always, always grew up knowing deep inside that something was going to happen to her and it did. I always figured it was because of the path she took all those years and it was bound to get to her.........drug abuse and depression.

Now, when I dream a dream, that disturbs me, I take precautions just to be safe. I even tell somene if something happens to them in a dream I have to be extra careful. Maybe it is just me being worried about a path or choice they are taking in their life. So far no bad things have happened lately.

Howdy Sassy, and everyone.

I swear for three days straight I have had such family drama!! I am not even going to go into it all, but it all turned out ..not great ,but bottom line, no one was dead and no one was in jail.........whewwwwwwwww! And these were two seperate things,,, I don't think I can handle anythng eles,,,,,,,,but I have been a pro at handling it for three days,,,,,bring it on...lol.

Sassy, I have been dieting, lost about 5 lbs, but ya know what , 2 inches of the belly. I think by cutting out so much sugar I am not so belly bloated ya know.So I am happy I see results. I am cutting calories out, not downing cokes, and drinking water, and getting exercise by yard work and redoing a room.

Hey Brooke,,,,,,,,, I kind of wish I had someone who could handle my kids , I would know they were ok, no worries and get my hind end on a plane out of town. I don't know if I would know how to act alone. Sounds like an adventure . But I know what you mean being a bit scared.

Awwww Flyin', I am about to cry, ya'll were apart a whole year,,wow. Denny has only been home for a week at a time, going back off for two, coming in for three and so on.

I am at least glad he is here in the US, and not that far away,,,,,,, I swear I can't imagine what the military families have to go thru,, and the dangers ya know. And I know that I will see his face at least every three weeks if not sooner, so I do count that a blessing.

Those are so great ideas Flyin', we talked about getting him a laptop because he loves surfing the net, yahoo, pictures all of that,,,,,we want to set web cams up so he can see his kids too.

Thanks so much guys, I really needed these suggestions and it gives me something fun to look forward to, something positive I can get busy doing, instead of grieving myself. I know it won't be like this forever, we will have plenty of time to catch up on things, so thanks again for making me feel more positive about our situation.

or were buildings going to collapse and all of the people in the buildings and on the ground below be destroyed ?.

3. or were angels suddendly going to materalize with big broad swords (right out of king arthur's army) and smite us......those of us who didn't have the mark.

Boy, this brings back memories of how afraid I was of the Big A day.

I remember the elders saying on stage that we should always be at every meeting, because we may never know when instruction, ( as to , what to do when the Big A hit) would be told to us. What if we stayed home , just because we were a little tired, and that very night we were instructed to run to the mountains or some other crap. Of course it was said in a joking kind of way, but then they would bring home the point of how vital the each and every freggin' meeting was.. geeshhhh.

I always wondered if our houses would be protected by angles? What if the kids were spending the nite with worldly grandparents, would they be saved? I hope I can at least get the dogs in the house in time.

I was always afraid of being that "woe to the pregnant woman" who had to run in flight . I was pregnant most of the time......lol. If I was pregnant belly and all, what would I do? geessssh,, no wonder we all had migraines and stomach ulcers!!
