"Since the R&F are so important to the grand money making scheme, why don't they get a share of the wealth that is made off their backs?"
Because that wouldn't be capitalistic, that would be socialistic. And unless you are the government, there is no money in socialism. In order to have winners, you have to have losers. The tried and true way of getting losers to give up thier money to winners is to delude them. If you can convince people that they are getting something great in return for thier investment (e.g. everlasting life as pointed out by the WT or an enriched life as pointed out by wallstreet)...you can get very rich very fast. People want to believe, it's human nature. However, Kharma is a bitch when you try to force feed the blue pill down everyone's throat.
Of course...this is just my perspective.
Sab..your matrix analogy is dead on. If you like this kind of thing...might I suggest a book entitled "The True Believer" by Eric Hoffer. It's a short read and you can recommend it to people who are beginning thier journey out of the matrix.

Help writing a letter
by Kool Jo ingood day folks...for some time now, i've been trying to be deleted as an ms as this will even make my fade much easier...the body of elders in my "home" congregation, where i was "appointed" is asking for a letter stating that i won't be able to live to up to the responsibilties of being an ms and would therefore like to be removed...i'm not the best at writing and asking for some help w/o making it seem that i'm stepping down for "apostate" reasons.... .
i can't wait to send this letter to them on sunday and then perhaps next week the announcement is made!.

If you can convey that you feel disappointed in yourself for feeling like you can't handle it right now...that would really help. You can also say you don't wanna be on the talk schedule for awhile either. I'ts all up to you and what your situation allows. There is no one perfect answer for everyone. Just roll it over in your head a bit and it'll all come to you. I would go straight to the COBE before anyone else..then you will only have to got through the motions once.

Keep it very simple and to the point. Just write...
I am stepping down as ministerial servant in the " " Congregation.
Date - Name (Print) - Signature
There is no need to state your reason in your letter. However, in conversation, you might as well count on them asking you why. You only have to tell them something to the effect of "I'm a little mentally wore out right now and need a little break, that's all. I'll be back to my old self in no time. I really appreciate you asking."
It's not always what you say...it's how you say it. ;) Good luck!!

Barbara: I agree with you 100%. Its one of the most hypocrytical things i've ever heard. Your story was enlightening.
Sabastious: I also agree with you. "..when it comes to money, everyone is of the same religion."

That being said (see above), the JW's ruined my life and I am far from being a WT supporter.
