Forgive the brief rant. I'm happy to go back to radio silence on the incessant bullying, at least for now. But the more shit gets stirred up the more resolved I am to act decisively so future activists don't have to put up with quite so much abuse just for growing a platform... or patronizing hard working definitely-above-20-year-old entrepreneurs in Thailand, and offering my financial support to those business oriented women definitely-not-on-regular-basis, but only once every few months for about 4 years.

a lot of pimos are reporting that returning to the meetings is backfiring in that covid is spreading among the members returning.. post;.

so last saturday was my first meeting back in person and well it completely backfired.

last night i got a text from my group overseer saying that someone in the hall tested positive for covid and that we need to get tested(great 🎉).. honestly i kinda expected this.

i was googling the subject and came across this story.

i just had an incredible phone conversation with a long-time jw who has strong "q-anon" "sovereign citizen" beliefs.

the wife(first gen) says she is not surprised.

QAnon is to the political right as Scientology is to science.
To be defined as a QAnon believer, a respondent had to generally agree with these three statements:
• “The government, media and financial sector are controlled by a group of Satan-worshipping pedophiles who run a global child sex-trafficking operation.”
• “There is a storm coming soon that will sweep away the elites in power and restore the rightful leaders.”
• “Because things have gotten so far off track, true American patriots may have to resort to violence in order to save our country.”
Is this really the guage? Seems to me that QAnon was focused around a central character (Q) that was supposed to have special political knowledge, and there were very specific events laid out. It wasn't "we might need to revolt if there is tyrrany" sort of principles. Is PRRI left wing? I'm sensing some tricky redefining going on...
Also, 23% of JWs agree with the idea that we need to resort to violence to save the country? That doesn't sound right at all.

in the past few months there have been a few debates on this site over alleged evidence of the resurrection of jesus.

this can be a hot topic as most would agree that without the resurrection of jesus there would be no christianity.

i am not so sure of that, but i am more sure that dr. gary habermas' minimal facts approach to the resurrection has no evidentiary basis.. here is a 22 minute video on the topic.

Ok, I've changed my mind on this. I thought he was just a little slow to get the punchline of this rather obvious joke... but now..
I think he was hard-core white-knighting here. Why? Well, I wasn't aware of the sheer emasculation his wife has imposed on him. An open marriage, sleeping around unapologetically, and ever since then he's been absolutely confused. I think he's been trying to regain that masculinity since, yet unsure what really to do.
It doesn't seem staged now that I look at his face, and Rock's reaction. But I'm still not 100% sure. Hell, maybe a week from now they will both come out and sat, "See Jussie - that's how it's done". And they would be right.

No one should listen to these people. Most are uneducated - they either dropped out of school or only did drama, and does anyone remember who did drama class at school? Never the bright kids ...
I re-watched the incident. Smith appears to laugh at the joke, looking up at the stage. His wife gets it and rolls her eyes. He continues to laugh. It takes a while for it to sink in... hence your point above.
