What is rational often depends on ones' premises. Tit for tat means that thin-skinned Atheists will just have to endure Christians praising God in public and presenting ("pushing") making and declaring what God has done for them.

I'm glad you support constitutional and human rights. But since the US constitution allows for freedom of speech...you'll just have to put up with the football players who want to praise God in public. Remember, the First Amendment which prohibits the making of laws impeding the free exercise of religion, or abridging the freedom of speech...also allows Atheists to promote their ideas. And no one is stopping anyone from seeking public office on an "Atheist platform".

The Great tribulation of Matthew 24 is over and done with.
Here is something I picked up.
THE GREAT TRIBULATION — FUTURE OR FULFILLED?
Matthew: “For then shall be great tribulation, such as was not since the beginning of the world to this time, no, nor ever shall be. And except those days should be shortened, there should no flesh be saved: but for the elect’s sake those days shall be shortened” (24:21, 22).
Mark: “For in those days shall be affliction, such as was not from the beginning of the creation which God created unto this time, neither shall be. And except that the Lord had shortened those days, no flesh should be saved: but for the elect’s sake, whom he hath chosen, he hath shortened the days” (13:19, 20).
Luke: “For these be the days of vengeance, that all things which are written may be fulfilled . . . for there shall be great distress in the land, and wrath upon this people. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles” (21:22-24).
Unless we completely ignore the setting, it is evident that the tribulation mentioned here is that which was to come upon the people of Jerusalem and Judea — tribulation which would result in the destruction of the city and temple. As we have seen, Jesus spoke of various things that would come to pass first — wars, famines, pestilences, earthquakes, etc. None of these would be the sign of the impending desolation. But when they would see Jerusalem compassed with armies, then they would know that the desolation was nigh, and they should flee into the mountains. Why? “For then shall be GREAT TRIBULATION”, wrote Matthew. Luke’s account says: “For then shall be GREAT DISTRESS in the land [Judea], and wrath upon this people [the Jews]. And they shall fall by the edge of the sword, and shall be led away captive into all nations: and Jerusalem shall be trodden down of the Gentiles.”
According to the scriptures, the “great tribulation” of which Christ spoke was to bring great affliction, distress, and wrath upon the Jews and destruction upon their city and temple."
Notice that the Jews surviving the onslaught would be shipped off to all nations. That is history; post-tribulation history.

No one, Theist or Atheist, should have the right to belittle, (be abusive) on this board.
Seems to me that what's good for the goose is good for the gander.
Was Godrulz evicted? If so, what for?
Was it because some viewed him as being an obnoxious Theist?
If that's the case, why not just ignore his posts?

Feeling a bit alienated
by factfinder ini notice mostly everyone at jwn was a "born-in".
i actually chose to become a witness.
i was born and raised jewish but by the time i was 15 i had lost interest in judaism and stopped practicing it.

Thank you for sharing your experience and the disillusionment that you are still burdened with.
Yes, the WTS was/is wrong and its' leadership unfaithful, but that does not mean that the Bible is wrong or the hope of a new heaven and a new earth is fallacious. I can find endless faults with the WTS, but none with Jesus Christ and His work and promises.
My hope for you is that your faith will be renewed in Him alone.

Here Here Band on the Run,
Let's not belittle anyone for their religious or non religious faith. Although such behaviour may make us feel superior, it will not win anyone over or make others, especially newbees struggling with faith issues, feel at home here. This should be a place of safety and adjustment as we disagree on matters that are of interest and/or importance to us. We are not here to badger or put others down, but to learn and help others to see what we see, intelligently and hopefully with a measure of compassion.
