It was a Nova special on the moon. I was struck by how much it had to do with the development of life. I knew there was a connection but was astounded by the depth of the connection.

Is there anyone in heaven who cares?

i am friends with a girl at work, even though she is the union steward and i am management.

we have a high regard and respect for one another.

she was also raised a jw but left as a teen.

there is no heaven

but the interactions we have with other people affect them and ourselves.

so, doing good to others, naturally helps them and helps your self esteem.

what are your favorite games?

the disappearing game is Acquire and I agree it is great. There are many new board games out there that are also great. My favorite newer game is Ra Pit Apples to Apples Wise and Otherwise Wizard are a few more.

Are caricatured portrayals of JWs counterproductive?

years before i stopped being a jehovah's witness i came onto sites like this one, out of curiosity.

i found that alot of the postings were depicting the jw organization as a harsh, unloving, brainwashing cult.

i found this portrayal to be completely opposite to my long years of experience as a jw ( and still do ).
