reading the day's text for yesterday, they talk about jesus coming and that it is a future time after the great tribulation.

i thought they have always said he came in 1914 and earlier at other times (russell).. .

Botchtower constantly goes beyond what is written. This was one of the things that I saw them doing when I was a teenager back in the '70s that I did not agree with.

I believe this is what is known as hypocrisy.

Same here. Couldn't put it down. It confirmed for me a lot of my suspicions... and it educated me on other things I was not aware of (like the 2/3rds majority in voting... wtf?).

i believe that the religion will remain stagnant due to their achilles heel, the kids, the children, that next generation.. most of them really don't wa t to be in the religion.

the parents may have tried everything within their power to make the kids love jehovah but we all know you can't force someone to love you and you can't make a grown person stay in a relationship or situation if they really don't want to be there..

Me and my 2 brothers were raised in this crap. None of us got baptized. My bro's children are also NOT baptized and luckily, were not raised in it. In my immediate family, this religion dies when Dad goes.

A few years back, my Dad told me that "the young ones are leaving in droves".

My immediate thought was "Good!"

I sure hope this trend continues.
