Wha:
when NBC did that story of pedophiles and how some of the publishers were df'd, for trying to protect their children. We heard about it on the platform, not to watch it
Same directive given to us in Canada. Do not watch it.

the wt has been found negligent and ordered to pay $7 million to a vistim of child abuse, plus punitive damages (not yet determined).. the punitive damages may well exceed the $7 million.
Palmie, I have experiance personally in the legal dealings in the cong. It's amazing how fast God leaves the picture and legalisms become the focus of the conversation.
Yup.
My friend on the Blood Committee used to tell stories.....I just didn't realize the significance until recently. Because I used to chalk it up to "God's Will"....now I see it's nothing more than just legal wrangling.

Hey, AnnOMaly, thanks for finding that record of dismissal. Now we have proof of what happened to WT of PA.
That kind of shit really drives it home to me that this is NOT a religion, it's a business.

Silence and a note to cong not to deal directly with inquiries on the subject
Yup. I had a good friend on the local Blood Committee and that was their directive, too.

If the WT does not disclode these other funds avail, they can be held in contempt of court. We all know of a certain person who is back in jail because they fibbed about a 6 figure savings
You know my ex?
still going back to correct grammer / spelling, but this is basically what i am writing to them.
it probably won't do any good, but you never know:.
thanks for taking the time to read this.
Good letter.
I also hope they print it.
i was pondering this today during lunch, and to me it seems that it comes down to whether or not you can accept that you will one day be permanantly gone and anyone you have lost in death will never be alive again.
once a person becomes comfortable with these two ideas, there isn't really any incentive to believe.
maybe it's an over simplification, but it seems to me that this is the heart of the matter.
I feel like you, Interested One.
Also, hypocrisy really gets to me.....I'm working on that......
i am - every hour or so - but last night i slept for 5 hours uninterrupted, and this despite 4 cups of coffee late afternoon.
still can't account for what was for me tantamount to a full-night's sleep .... .
do you sleep well most nights?.
Tal, I've always slept well until recently. I think it has something to do with being in the mid-40's.......
I read every night before bed, too, but it's mostly out of habit.
