  Hi guys,

  I want to write an article about 607 B.C.E. but to be honest with you, I've never fully understood how the Watchtower Society got from 607 B.C.E. to 1914, to 1919.

  Without sending me to a YouTube video, is there a way to explain this to me? I need a really dumbed down version, which includes the 70 weeks bit.

  The best explanation wins my undying love for the next 24 hours.

  inspired by another thread on the "who are doing jehovah's will today", i did a little digging into the masterpiece.. pg 25. talks sbout khs and there is the revelation:.

  "...they (khs) are built with donations made to a central fund.

  in every kingdom hall, there is another contribution box for kingdom hall construction worldwide.

  This is so interesting!

  I've wanted to get to the bottom of this for a long time and write an article on JWB about it.

  So let me see if I've got this right:

  1. The JW's make donations.
  2. These donations are given to buy land and to build a hall in the form of an interest free loan from the WTS.
  3. The land is purchased (if land needs to be purchased) and the brothers build the Kingdom Hall - free labour.
  4. The JWs then pay off the loan and the title deeds are transferred to the WTS.

  If that really is the case, then it's one of the best business models I've ever come across. Talk about a bunch of charlatans.

  it is neither good nor bad.
