i speak of the montreal area :)
lotsa nice people over there, too bad a couple of them happened to be psychos
Have you been everywhere Solace98?
I have family in Cambridge Ontario. This is getting crazy.
do people here feel threatened by bold posts?
i ask this because it would seem that everyone on this board has an axe to grind, and any "bold" posts that disagree with the majority are ignored.
i have found that most of the posts i made ended threads.

Hey...I know people from Morgantown West Virginia.
Cool man! That is the city of the Mountaineers. WVU hails from there. I went to WVU-P which is the Parkersburg branch of the University. I graduated with my Associates Degree last December.

Less than 30 posts and complaining that no one is responding?
Hey bud, this might come as a surprise, but the earth doesn't revolve around you
No doubt it doesn't.
I wanted to comment on the very heated arguements that people stopped posting in as soon as I made a post. I just wondered why no one else posted.
I also wanted to comment on my take of it all.

dude...
i did unassigned territory in marietta!!!!
anyway, i think you are totally right.
people certainly have an axe to grind here, and it gets in the way of the "real" issues. I have noticed people ignored when opposing opinions, accused of "disrupting the flow of threads" being a "troll" and being disfellowshipped from this forum when it comes down to it.
Its an interesting place, but watch how you tread :)
Watch how you tread indeed my friend. I have at least one strike against me already because one of my posts was pulled by the moderators.LOL.
It's really cool that you know the area that I live in. "Big" river city of Marietta. A very pretty city it is, and small. The River Front Roar is going on this weekend, and there should be some good Blues Bands playing at the Lafayette Hotel. There always is.

Junction Guy,
Is Ohio U in Marietta?
OU is in Athens, OH. That is the first place I moved when I left NY. Pretty cool place. I went to the Athens North Congregation for a short time. That is were some of my family attends meetings.
I never attended any meetings in Marietta. The congregation I know of is in Devola, which is right outside Marietta. I actually live in their territory. Figure that one out. At least 25 Miles away, and other congregations are closer. How am I in their territory? Who knows, but I have received visits from them. Maybe I met the hot wife?

Gopher, you seem like a good fella. I know how the forum works. I don't feel slighted or anything like that. I used to come to this forum a long time ago, and had bad experience. Maybe I do feel slighted by the moderators. I also find it interesting that some posts ended with my post the last one when they were on "fire".

I haven't read any of your previous posts, so I can't really comment there, I just want to welcome you to the board since you are new. I used to live near the WV border in Ky, are you from that part of WV?
I live near Parkersburg, WV. It is in the Northern part of the state. I grew up in Upstate New York, and moved here because of work. Its Ironic because many people move away from here to find work. I found a good job oportunity accross the Ohio river in Marrietta, OH.

I don't get which direction you're taking here. If people donj't post because they feel "threatened", then they are cowering in passivity. However, if you're saying some have an "axe to grind", then are those doing the grinding being aggressive?
No, they are just hung up and bitchy.

I have found that most of the posts I made ended threads. Am I that logical? Or were people so pissed by what I said that no one would post in that thread anymore?
I have found this forum lacking personality and mostly focusing on the "anger" and "rejection" ones felt after bad experiences in the WTS. Very valid feelings I will admit. But I don't want to live my life that way, and I find this forum a virtual well of self-pity and anger.
People here are so closed minded that they expect everyone to agree with their opinions. If you disagree or post something contraversial, no one else comments in the thread. Is that the way you alienate people with different ideas and opinions? Check out my post history and see how many threads I ended.
I ask: What kind of freedom is to be found in a forum were everyone feels wronged? Where everyone is bitter and angry. The only support found is support of bitterness and anger. That is not healthy.
