Man gets stuck in JACuzzi
A man who wishes to remain anonymous got stuck in his jacuzzi today. During some sexual lusty encounter he got his you know what stuck in the drain pipe outlet and had to call 911. The paramedics packed it in dry ice to reduce the swelling so he could be freed.
here in the uk we're paying over a 1 a litre for regular unleaded fuel, that's about $9 per gallon for my american friends.
now i'm as aware as anyone that the bulk of my fuel pound goes to the government in duty (or fuel tax) but let's just look at the bottom line cost to you and i as motorists - 1/litre.. just getting the the damn stuff out of the ground is dangerous and expensive, especially at offshore rigs.
then you have to transport it, refine it and transport it again.
All those gas taxes in the UK are so the Queen can be served her morning crumpet on a rosewood tray
this has been repeated over and over in the news but what the hell no one will do anything about these assholes...so one more time....its the speculators, the investors who ....."institutional investors such as hedge funds and sovereign wealth funds are pouring billions of dollars into not just oil but mamy commodities, distorting markets and driving prices to unprecedented levels.."...and chinese influence???

First there was oil then there was demand. The demand usually lags behind supply but recently emerging 3rd world countries are screaming for oil (oil = growth) so at this point the demand is out-stripping the supply

Regular gasoline has gone up again . This saturday morning, regular at the pump is $1.451 at Esso and most stations. Come July 1st I think there is supposed to be a green tax imposed on top of the already high gas price. We can all thank the government for shutting the economy down!. Already the job I do (construction) is looking very bad right now. I think that I will be layed off very soon from shortage of work just like happend in the year 2000 when I had to travel to Alberta for work. These high gas prices are shutting the construction industry down.
The Canadian Government sure knows how to strip the personal Sovereignty from all Canadians!
when i read that the ford f-150 is the best selling vehicle in america i wrongly assumed that it was just the best selling truck.
but no, it has been the best selling vehicle for the last 17 years!
if that is the best selling you can be sure that there are plenty of similar models from different manufacturers being bought as well.. they are huge, fuel-inefficient things and i seriously doubt that even 90% of the people who buy them really need them.

Yes I agree that we have to drop the demand for crude oil. Even if everyone drove 50 mpg cars the demand will still grow as there is to be another 2.5 billion persons yet to come to this planet. the max persons that the planet can sustain seems to be about 9 billion (known as the carrying capacity) The earth is headed for a time of woe never before seen since the creation of mankind . I'm sorry for being so optimistic.

As predicted, gas went up this morning to $1.439 for regular at the pump. More and more for sale signs can be found on trucks and SUVs in the Vancouver/ lower mainland . It is amazing how many people are hanging on to their big rigs. Just today, at the gas station I noticed that almost everyone paid for gas with the credit card. Soon, those persons will have no credit and the credit unions and banks will be in trouble

Again, there is no short term replacement for crude oil. Suburbia will become the next ghettos, foreclosures will soar along with bankruptcies as poeple try to evade their creditors.. Many people buy big trucks for income tax write-offs but that is coming to an end. Sadly, the goverments have mismanaged the lives of billions of people and now we see the effects of this.

The price of reg gas had been stable for the last 3 days at around 1.43 at the pump. I hear that was from a drop in demand. The economists call it demand destructiom. Mathematicians call it elasticity of demand. Well I think the elastic is about to break and I think higher gas prices tomorrow.. I'll be back tomorrow on this thread if it goes up
