  Personally I see a logical fallacy concerning Adam & Eve in that why would Eve trust or believe in a snake that talked

  when no other snakes in the Garden of Eden talked ?

  You would logically assume that she would have be frightened and ran away, perhaps back to Adam.

  Secondly when Eve brought the fruit back to Adam for him to take a bite, and Adam asked why did you do that ?

  She said a talking snake said it was alright.

  You think he would have been totally shocked when she told it was a Snake that told her it was alright.

  I guess it doesn't pay to be too analytical when researching religious philosophy.

  Leave it to the Witnesses to make perhaps the one spot where there's literal evidence to support something written in the gospel texts--crosses--and to screw that up by denying everything about them.

  Well said and I agree with everything you've mentioned about the subject.

  The WTS. have never been well studied bible theologians or students of archeology.

  The cause of this ignorance happens because the WTS. proclaims they are god's channel and since they proclaim that

  all other religions are false and to have a chance to be saved from destruction at Armageddon, you have to accept the WTS. teachings,

  thats why most JWS willfully accept everything they are taught by this religious organization.

  There is so much pressure and fear imposed on to people in this organization, they are discourged to used open analytical thinking.

  Skirts and trousers (pants if you're in the US)

  just what is it that the watchtower thinks is so much more modest and respectful to jehovah about wearing a skirt instead of trousers?

  that is, unless you live in a culture that has trousers as the norm for women, as in india.. something today brought this to my mind.

  i can't even remember what it was, but it led to thinking again about this.

  This most likely falls in line with keeping up a perceived image of the JW organization.

  Yes, there is bible scripture that states that woman should not wear cloths that men wear.

  You must remember also that in the US and abroad woman were not wearing pants that much,

  not at least until after the Second world war. Some of these dress standards were developed many years ago,

  for both men and woman, going far back as the late 50's and 60's. The WTS. tries to shape and mold people into becoming their

  sales representatives in front of the public, in this endeavor they've been very controlling and strict upon their devoted followers.

  You must admit, if you were to picture a woman out a service with a low cut top and mini skirt, it really present an image of wholesomeness

  and virtue. Likewise is a guy came knocking on your door with a scruffy beard, long uncombed hair and a dirty jean jacket, would

  pretty much present a similar image.

  Questions critical of 1914

  i have a relative coming over because he's concerned about my spiritual health.

  i said i have some legitimate concerns about the watchtower claiming to be god's representative on earth.

  we agreed to do a frank and open (if that's even possible) study of 1914 doctrine, and the "nu lite" about the overlapping generations.. does anyone have good questions or points to shoot-down the 1914 doctrine, and the "nu lite" on overlapping generations?

  Biblically it was wrong and that can be proven using the bible alone.

  But you might say it was quite right from a commercial stand point of attracting attention to the WTS's literature.

  The WTS. under C Russell once preached that 1914 was going to be Armageddon prior to that year, when that failed it became

  the date of Christ taking his position upon his earthly and heavenly kingdom.

  The fact is the WTS. has been exploiting the belief in the bible for their own self concerning commercial needs, in that sense they

  should be truly defined as Charlatans or commercialized false prophets/profits

  the tribulation is really starting to speed up it's pace.

  i just read that atleast 3 types of animal and plant life go extinct every hour.

  global warming threatens the entire planet, crimes against women and children are at a all time high, honeybees dying off for unexplained reasons, the threat of nuclear war, the ravage of infectious disease.

  This isn't surprising since newly devised surgical techniques use less blood during their procedures anyways.

  JWS and their no blood policy has nothing to do with it.

  Of course JWS selectively spin up their own information to make them look right.

  They do this on more subjects as well.

  Surgeons know of the risk of BTs and the complications that may occur, thats why they try to have the patients own blood

  on hand, if needed during their medical procedures.

  Why is it they never talk about all the life saving blood transfusions that happen all over the world every day ?

  I guess that would be too honest and unbiased concerning the no BT subject.

  How do I hear/feel God?

  this is a serious question.. i know people that hear/feel god (and see postings about people's experiences), but i have not experienced this.

  i have never heard anything audibly (or otherwise) nor "felt" anything inwardly.. i've prayed, read, quieted my thoughts, etc...but still nothing..

  It must be said that if one were to hold up and try to replicate or emulate the social behavioral moralities of a god like Jesus Christ,

  then there might be some good works from these endeavors and this has certainly proven to be true.
