of the 351,000 decline in february employment (household data), 90% of the job losses were male jobs (315,000), compared to a 37,000 job loss for females (10% of total).. .
further, the february unemployment rate for men was 8.8% vs. 7.3% for women, as the 1.5% male-female gap narrowed just slightly from the all-time historical record male-female jobless rate gap of 1.6% in january.

by RULES & REGULATIONS inthe 2008 service reports shows that jehovah's witnesses preached in 236 lands.
the preaching work is banned in communist countries such as china(which have over 1.3 billion people) and korea.
there might be underground preaching work but not enough to even cause a concern.. my question: how does the wts explain what will happen to all these people who will never hear their message?

I like some aspects of the catholic social justice teaching with its focus on helping the poor and the vulnerable, defending workers' rights etc. It comes pretty close to a superior moral standard which is absent in many other christian churches.

He's doing very well by any normal human standard. Not since WWII a US president has acted so aggressively on an economic crisis --- I just wouldn't like to think about what lethargic mess a McCain presidency would have brought America and the world's economy in.

Just what we need, more government control of our lives. How about tighter control of cigarettes and alcohol first. They tried that in the thirties and it was a great success.
