problemaddict, the first part was getting the message available to dubs.

That's pretty much done - however they venture forth into the net, the works of Kent, PB, Norm, AlanF, Farks and others (including myself) are there to stumble them.

The next part surely has to be finding how to part the Wicked Watchtower from what it treasures most - its treasure.

No, I don't mean its repository of wisdom (it has none), Godly connection (nil), huge library (only of rubbish) or human resources (braindead jW drones are not marketable).

I mean the $50-100 billion it has round the world in real estate. The title deeds to all those KHs aren't in the hands of local yokels, You Know.

Lawsuits based on "yuman rights" (in Europe) and on anything-we-can-think-of (in the States and Canada), class actions where legislation permits, must be the order of the day. For damage to the happiness of those sucked in.

Especially if they were "born" into this evil cult.

A legal fund can be set up. This could snowball. The first few payouts in the hundreds of thousands of dollars, or even millions, and the queue will form.

So, how exactly.

I thought it was the 7th so-called volume of the Studies in the Scriptures, The Finished Mystery, that was put together by 2 Bible Students (Clayton Woodworth and George Fisher) from quotes by Russell plucked out of the previous 6 volumes and other writings.

blondie, you are quite right. I intended to start off taking a good poke at Volume 6 (The New Creation, complete with its pseudoscientific attempts to justify the 7-day creation myth) but then decided to keep it simple and moved straight to Volume 7 (the most hideous work imaginable, a true insult to Russell who was at least able to write well!) without making the needed amendment.

Excellent, processor! I could have sworn I had the "Locust Class" in there, as I've frequently lampooned that absurd quote in my assorted commentaries, but indeed it is not in the Class List.

i had a recent conversation with an elder from my mother's congregation.

he with another elder was at my mom's house.

my mother has all the bound volumes for both the awake and watchtower plus most of the older books.

Quendi, the pre-2000 material is incredibly rich in absurdity. Since then, they've learned to say almost nothing, filling pages and dumpsters with anodyne hack that lacks any substance whatsoever. That's why the digital library starts in 2000.

My digital library is absolutely complete and goes back to Russell and Barbour's first infantile droolings.

i was just thinking today of the ramifications for the wt if the government of finland was successful in its case against shunning practices, and eventually this was implemented all around the world.. the question this would raise is do they obey gods commandments or that of mans.

jehovah has implemented a scriptural policy through the fds of disfellowshipping.

it's a loving provision that helps the wrong doer see the errors of his ways and draws him back to jehovah.
